    We met these people only a few days ago in Northeast MS. We had about an hour long convo while sitting in their bus/home. They were super nice. We all enjoyed the visit.

    There used to be a bus very similar to this one at the Stormville Flea Market in NY State years ago. VW on top and all. I was a vendor at the market and used to visit the bus in the evening sometimes. Same kind of people owned it, very open and friendly. Always invited you inside to look around. Went to Mexico in the winter. Very cool.

    you know when you watch a video like this that you will encounter peeps who are liberal; i don't feel sorry for the kids - at least they have parents that love them and want to spend time with them...you don't know them so how can you possibly pass judgement.

      Im thinking collecting donations. People that enthralled with that thing always kick down a few bucks when it's said and done whether the couple asks for them or not people often throw them 1's 5's and 10's at the very least I'm thinking. The only reference to money was the guy saying "The position i put myself in $100 is a lot of money". What you dont see is them going through trash cans and actually asking/begging when times get super hard which Im sure happen more often than not. However talking about these things doesnt make for a good MotorWeek video I'd assume.

      Heather sells a lot of her paintings. They also do a lot of bartering. They have a very out-of-the-box belief of the monetary system.

      What are they going to trade when this thing is totaled or needs a new engine? Pimp her out? Seriously. It looks like a carnival attraction, its cute, and a fun ride for awhile, but eventually the fair packs up and leaves town. Or someone gets killed or injured and the ride operator goes to jail. Do they honestly think this is a good plan for life?

      Not sure it's so clear cut - would a Trump hater paint a picture of Melania in a fluffy red coat holding the stars and stripes? It doesn't really look like a protest piece.

    I'll give it a 10 on the road-hazard scale, and a 1 on driving dynamics. I hope to hell they never get in an accident for the sake of their kids. What's going to happen to the wood-stove in the event of a frontal collision? Probably anyone sitting in front will be crushed and the contents of the RV set on fire. It is creative and artistic. It just doesn't belong on the road.

    Poor kids.

    • @PistonAvatarGuy
      @PistonAvatarGuy 7 лет назад +12

      Oh, yeah, those kids look positively miserable. It's so much better to kill off any kind of freedom of thought and creativity and force them to conform to the bland, empty, miserable, corporate way of life that most people force themselves to slog through.

    • @PistonAvatarGuy
      @PistonAvatarGuy 7 лет назад +3

      Oh and, before anyone else can say it in reply to me...
      "Ooh la la, someone's going to get laid in college."

    • @dacasman
      @dacasman 7 лет назад

      The reason I'm saying they're poor is because they live in a tiny bus. It's all fine now but in a few years they're probably going to hate their parents for making them conform to their hippie nomad lifestyle. Plus they look filthy. They probably rarely bathe. And there's nothing wrong with the lifestyle you're describing. some people don't want to live in a tiny cramped dirty bus. Some people want to live in a normal sized house and have normal modern amenities. Some people have hobbies and passions that require money. For example, I'm extremely passionate about cars. The only way to fulfill my passion is by acquiring money. Some people just have that itch. And
      I'd rather do what it takes to scratch that itch than live in a tiny bus to avoid the "empty bland miserable corporate way" you speak of. Which very well could be the case with these girls when they get older.

    • @PistonAvatarGuy
      @PistonAvatarGuy 7 лет назад +4

      Yeah, well, like most people who are passionate about cars (myself included), you'll probably slave away for your entire life and have nothing but a minivan to show for it in the end. I mean, what do you have now, a freaking Jetta? That's the scam, people like you think that all you need to do to have everything you ever wanted in life is to sell your soul to the corporate machine, only to find out that the machine only exists to extract money and labor from people like you and that you've wasted your whole life as a slave.

    • @dacasman
      @dacasman 7 лет назад

      Dude. I only work 12 hours a week. two 6 hours days. I have owned close to 15 cars and I'm only 25.
      I like the fact that you checked my channel to talk down to me about a car I USED to own. But that was only like my 3rd car. Trust me, I don't want to have to work my whole life. I'm actually highly against working a full time 40+ hour job for the rest of my life like most people. But I'm doing what I love and I need money for that. Sure I could choose to not have a job and be a nomad hippy like these people. but it would drive me insane. I would be more depressed living like that than having a simple part time job to do what I love. It's just not the life for me, and it's not the life for a lot of people. That's the point I'm trying to make. It's a choice.

  • @viewingaccount9459
    @viewingaccount9459 7 лет назад

    Cute and all but ask them what their plan is once that thing breaks down beyond any salvage because unfortunately it will. Probably sooner rather than later too.

    • @ThuggyMacho
      @ThuggyMacho 4 года назад

      You said this 3 years ago a nd the bus is still running. Life is full of surprises and you just have to take it with a grain of salt. They are content with the smaller things in life and they're probably more happier than you tbh.
