Longevity and totality don't mean squat. Kareem's longevity is better than MJ. Doesn't mean he's greater. Antawn Jamison has 20K points and 10K rebounds by playing so long. Nobody puts him in the HoF.
Karl Malone has greater longevity than Larry Bird. Nobody puts Karl over Larry. Even if say Karl won it all in 1997 and 1998, I still wouldn't put him over Larry. I have Kobe over Duncan because Kobe's peak was higher & better H2H.

Shannon should just shut up because he is so blinded by his idolizing of LeBron that he didn’t see the truth.
Michael did what no other team player couldn’t have done.
He was mean at times, and wanted his players to get tough for the playoffs. He did as a player what head coaches do, but he led by example.
No other player ever did that, coupled with the fact that he had to over come so much to win his games.
Michael to me never sought out to be the goat, he sought to win every battle he ever engaged in. In doing that he did become the best player ever, plus the game was very physical, not the soft game it has evolved to become.
Was he perfect of course not, but that drive made winners out of his teammates.

Peak is worth more than longevity. But that peak has to last long enough. Bird only had 8 healthy seasons and 4 were his absolute prime. I understand if kids put LeBron over Bird. LeBron's totality was good enough to overtake Larry.

October 4, 1993, Alex Caruso dominated Jordan and Pippen in a scrimmage with the third stringers. Caruso proceeded to trash talk Jordan by saying “I’m your father”. Two days later Jordan stunningly announces his retirement from the NBA.

Michael was obviously not as mentally tough as people think. The premature retirements and gambling addiction are all signs of being mentally weak. He was a great player once locked in, but couldn’t compartmentalize the factors of being the beat player in the world. He achieved a lot, but underachieved as well due to succumbing to the pressures of being the best. Lebrun is a class act. That’s how you do it.

I never quite understood why Krause grew to be so upset with Phil until I did some light googling and read up on the relationship between them. And after reading about it i understand better why Krause grew such hard feelings towards Phil, although I don’t agree with how Krause let his hurt feelings with Phil become so detrimental to the team and cause so much drama and harm in the end. When looking back Krause and Phil had a long standing relationship before Krause brought him on with Chicago as an Assistant Coach dating back to 1967 when Krause lobbied hard for the Bullets to draft Phil when he was working as a scout.
They stayed in touch and when Phil couldn’t land any NBA jobs Krause began pushing for him to be hired as an assistant coach in Chicago. And one of the reasons he fired the head coach at that time was his refusal to hire Phil. Doug Collins hired Phil. And when Collins refused to run the triangle and Phil embraced it Krause fired Collin’s and promoted Phil. So it isn’t totally crazy to understand why a Krause who naturally felt that Phil wouldn’t even be coaching the Bulls if not for him pushing and pushing to get him a job to begin with, which is honestly fair because by the time he got hired on in Chicago he had been openly speaking that he was ready to leave coaching behind, so he did expect some level of loyalty in return which he didn’t receive. Now the problems he let grow from that was wrong but the ill will he felt wasn’t entirely out of the blue - a lot of people would feel some sort of way if a guy who wouldn’t have the job to begin with without you sticking your neck out for them to get it suddenly forgot all about you once they found success. Now how you react to that makes the difference though.
