Thank you for the support it really means a lot! If you wouldn't mind leaving a 5-star review in the app store, that would be incredibly appreciated and help us a ton.
I wish there was some consistency in trail ratings. A Colorado 7 is different than a Moab 7, and a Moab 7 is different than a Huracan 7. I wouldn’t attempt a Huracan 7 in my Bronco, but a Colorado 7 is pretty easy.
I believe you are correct on this. An example would be the rating of Yansing Gulch(6-8) in Colorado vs Triple 7(7-8), both rated "difficult/severe". Yansing is no where near as difficult as this Triple 7 looks in this video. Thanks for pointing this issue out! imho
@@royr8824This happens everywhere and it’s the same for ski run difficulty. There is always some subjectivity to difficulty ratings no matter how much you try to standardize it. That’s why TrailsOffroad has a community rating feature, but it’s our responsibility as off-roaders to assess a trail as we encounter it. When I started off-roading, there was no way to know a trail’s rating other than word of mouth. We’ve come a long way.
So you're saying you have no problem doing trails like Holy Cross, Tierod Bender, Iron Chest, Trough Trail and Sidewinder in Colorado, but Triple 7, John's Trail and Plan B are trails you wouldn't even consider? So then what about the Moab 7s like Moab Rim, The Pickle, and Rusty Nail?
First off, thanks for watching and spending time on our platform enough to know how we rate our trails. We try our hardest to adhere to a standardized rating system to the best of our ability, with a community feature that allows you to agree/disagree with our ratings. We love to know whether people agree with what we have for a trail difficulty. That's what keeps us honest and helps everyone else out there reading our trail guides know what they are getting into. Our mission has always been to provide the most accurate, highest-quality trail information possible. If you ever have any suggestions, recommendations, or feedback, don't hesitate to reach out to us!
@@TrailsoffroadI've been wheeling on and off for over 40 years, most of the early years on leaf springs and open diffs. Started with the Colorado Gazette and various off road map guides. Your product is the best I've come across. Ratings aside, having photo's, trail conditions and write-ups helps me decide whether to pull the trigger on running a trail.
I really wanted to see the Minion crawl this trail.
Great video and great trail! One of my favorite in the area. Love the TrailsOffroad app as well! Keep up the great work! 😄
