Also, we've lost one of our great drummers, Idris Muhammad, recently and this is an important document, reminding how subtle a musician he really was, especially for someone of his background, coming from funk and R&B.....Amazing!

His interplay (conversation) with the bassist backed by the drummer is what jazz is all about …. “Oh, I like what you said. Now, what would you say if I say this?” How happy he was, was shown by his antics at the beginning of the encore. What a pianist and what a band!
