ps1 is obviously the best one
i had a gamecube and never knew there were other sounds
never had an xbox, but i remember that startup and it is a close 2nd to ps1. it perfectly captures the "Xtreme" vibe that everything had around 2000 (i know it didnt come out 2000). it was certainly better than the ps2 startup that would wake everyone up at 2am when you're tryina play discretely.

PS1 has the greatest bootup. Though the Saturn, Dreamcast and NeoGeo are great too. That Jaguar bootup though? That was just sad lol
SO sad! We debated adding it but thought we needed one from Atari. Ha
The original Playstation one is iconic. It's a sound so sure of itself that it's about to change the face of gaming, taking you places you've never seen before. Only one close to it is SEEEEGAA! I had a a Saturn and Dreamcast and barely remember those even though I loved my Dreamcast, the intro clearly left a lot to be desired.

PS1 is nothing less than era-defining
PS1 is just iconic, OG Xbox holds a soft spot for me, as that was my main console that gen, as does the S-E-G-A intro on the Genny, but I really like the first few seconds of the Sega CD model 2, followed by Sonics magic finger wag right after hitting start, which is missing in this video, as its technically not part of the console startup, but the game start ups, but so was the S-E-G-A you had in the video BTW, if you couldnt tell, those were my console transitions thru those generations. Cool vid
