Finally got round to doing this now. I had retrofitted an aux socket to my standard Golf's head unit ages ago but did not get round to code it. The guy at the shop doing the coding did not know the code to make it work and nearly gave up but i showed him your video which showed the code and he got it working. So happy days and thank you.
Is the Aux wire on the back of the RCD300 and Aux socket already installed and then you code it. These units come without Aux so i purchased genuine Aux wire and Aux socket from VW and installed it but its not working yet so needs coding. My radio is exactly same as yours. Can you do for me please.
Ciao! Ho la stessa radio su Touran e ho fatto installare un cavo aux e con il vcds mi hanno sbloccato il cd-changer/ipod (inserendo quindi il codice 2), ma non funziona. Mi hanno detto che serve un modulo aggiuntivo oltre al cavo... Tu cosa hai montato?
Ok sono riuscito! Ho dovuto invertire i cavi nei pin... Ho letto su un forum tedesco che molti hanno avuto lo stesso problema su touran/caddy dal 2007 in poi
@@tonybig78 I have done same but not coded yet. I got an Aux wire and Aux socket from vw dealer and fitted it to my mp3 rcd300. What program do i need to code it. Is it Vagcom or something. Sorry i don't know jack about coding etc.
K Mark no idea what your talking about you probably don’t have the correct radio to do this! It’s as simple as the video shows if the code doesn’t work you probably have another model!
Yeah your probably right. I'm not sure if the radio in the car is the one it came out the factory with but that's what happens. When I try to change the code in vcds it says that the code was rejected with error 31. I activated the CD changer that was accepted but other one didn't.

It’s a separate plug you just slot it in to the existing quad lock plug on the vehicle. The cable is on eBay.

ross tech official site sells the cables for 500€. way too expensive for me, can it be any other type of cable, given that it fits in my plug(s)?

Golf v any series as long as it's the MP3 unit. This car did not come with this factory fitted I retrofitted it myself.

K Mark there’s like 5 models for the golf 5 they all look the same but are all different I unlock them so I know each model. Take care
