  • One thing I forgot to mention, if you make your chains func_detail_illusionary, they will not cast shadows by default. To make them cast a shadow, add the key _shadow with a value of 1 to the entity. Also keep in mind that enemys and projectiles will not be able to collide with clip brushes.
    An example map with good chains is the beginning portion of ad_azad by MFX from Arcane Dimensions.

    I like these tutorials, they're good. Only thing that I would add is something that shows on-screen your key presses, not everyone is used to TB's shortcuts.

    Keep it up, these are good. Suggestion for new video: Great Grating Grates...and Fences - how to do good grates and fences. Make some brush based lattices at 45 and show off the clip to face feature. Demonstrate {fence textures and go over detail fence.

    It looks too free hand. More like morrowwind than quake
