Great episode! The Sisu Nasu is one cool recovery veichle. I drove the original BV-206 in the Norwegian Army many years ago. Had never a problem overheating , but it IS made for use in Lappland , Northern Scandinavia. You know the linkage between the front and rear wagon? At least on the BV-206, it's made several blades of spring steel. As you drive it heats up, and gets softer and "bendier" This makes for better traction , but it also gets easier to tip one wagon over. If you happen to tip the rear or front wagon, you have 5 - 10 minutes to secure the still standing wagon to some trees or something. As the link bar cools off, it will stiffen up, and recover the tipped wagon.

When I was in my 20's, I used to take my '90 Sonata into places that were only meant for trucks, but I'm a fairly skilled driver. Despite that, one time I picked the wrong side of the ruts in the winter and slid down into them, bottoming out on the frame, just shy of the clearing that headed back to the main dirt road. Me and my friends spent the whole night digging, pushing, and using fallen logs to try and get loose, got the car about 25 ft further back before burning the alternator out from all the heat from the high revving. Boiled off most of the coolant too. We spent the night there, and the next day we walked into town and bought a new battery, and called a friend of a friend with a big lifted truck to come tug us out the rest of the way. The truck was having issues and wouldn't go into four wheel drive, and couldn't get even halfway into where the car was stuck. In the end, me and one of my friends were still trying to push it out while the rest figured out the truck situation, and I'd got it about 3/4 of the way forward out of the most recent hole we'd dug with the tires and was sitting on the brakes while my friend was getting ready to give it another shove backwards(backwards was downhill so that was the direction we'd been trying to push it in), but I accidentally released the brake and started to fall back into the hole(I was exhausted), so I just gave 'er and that SOB pulled itself backwards the rest of the way back out to the main road all on it's own without a lick of help after we'd been stranded all night running ourselves ragged trying to get it unstuck...like the car just hadn't been cooperating because it was mad at me for getting it stuck, but had finally had enough and wanted to leave....drove it the rest of the way into town, parked it and had it towed...
Thank god your back at recoveries, the 15 minute long advertisements were shady ass fuck. I lost some respect when you guys did that, thought your Friend was actually in trouble just like the wizard. Hopefully you guys can get my respect back with recoveries again,

LOL so I got to ask, when did you guys actually realize the Gopro was missing, and when did you go back to pick it up - I swear that was funny LOL, glad y'all added - Thank you!
I want to know about the gopro too!
Same!
ditto
"slightly wizard" make that a t-shirt!
Dave (s) & Hans & the gang, great video I loved & laughed watching the family working/playing together as a team once again.
That was just crazy! Who would take a car up there to trash it? And a nice car. Thanks guys for cleaning it up! Anybody ever go back for the GoPro?
amazing content! keep it comming. ive watched every video you have!
You drove right through Robin where my parents live and I came to after being out of the Army!
I working on starting a DIY Auto Shop here in the Pocatello area. If anyone out there can help, I could use a little help doing this. I’m a disabled combat veteran trying to start a business that I can run and use to help other veterans.
Thank you for your service. We so love you guys and the sacrifices you have made.
Definitley looked like a fun recovery. My unit sometimes pulls vehicles out of the woods for BLM here in Oregon. Keep up the great work guys!
Thank you for cleaning up our backyard . The state of Oregon would welcome the help . Would like to see a video of you doing what you do in Oregon
Love the Matt's Off-Road Recovery music.
Hopefully you guys can get my respect back with recoveries again,
This ride out has whistlindiesel vibes 😂
I loved this "recovery" in beautiful Idaho heading out with a tracked vehicle, I'm partial to tracked vehicles from my involvement in the skiing industry. And your team has such a grand time doing what they like doing. Woohooo. It would take a bit of effort to put the Mazda back in road worthy condition but hey, it's not in the wilderness any more.
I loved the gopro shot that was looking in on diesel Dave and the only part if his shirt you could see was "die" 😆 lol
Damn, this hits home. I overheated at work yesterday when it was 107 out and started throwing up. So important to have something added to water
That's called heat exhaustion.
@@rosawilliams9145 On set medic took care of me
@@JVShred glad to hear it
@@JVShred When you get a headache and stop sweating you will go downhill fast afterwards.
@@JVShred That's good. Seen it in the military a million times. Some people go down & still have water on them. If you have it drink it.
I live in the alps and can tell you normal cars can go a long way offroad, if you know what you're doing.
Having said that, think I'm gonna buy a Mazda now 😂
I want to see the footage from the Gopro recovery :)
Ditto
Great Video keep em coming. The antics of the distinguished crew are great.
Congrats Guy's on another HAIRY RECOVERY.. lv the views..
Dave, i should get my Power Mystery Box monday or tuesday.. Thanks
NOW that’s a trail!
Imagine being a passerby on this trail when they drive by. You may think we were being invaded.
🤣🤣🤣
"These dumbasses recklessly destroying our trail"
When I first saw the car actively driving I immediately thought it is whistlindiesel
WD would have jumped that mountain
Great video y’all and glad that y’all were able to recover it, but who remembered about the lost GoPro and who ended up having to go back to get it. Some times I think there should be a way to put a small recovery cord on them in case they do get knocked off they will only fall maybe 3-4”
Heavy D and his team have thier crap together. And they get along just like a team should . God bless yall . Ed in wva .
Imagine the ride they went on 😭
I love Hans's humor, as an adult you always have to keep the child in you, otherwise you will get old quickly😂
so sorry i wouldnt know how to do that.
I'm 56 and not good with computers, but don't care I prefer to hang out with people in person🤣
But I like to watch your videos and wonderful humor😆
@@joycek8665 that profile is a scam/hacker
Okay we have to know.... when did you realize the camera was gone and who went back to get it? Obviously someone because you used the footage lol
All I want to say is.... I love ❤️ this channel. Thanks for making great videos.
I really thought the ad at first was for Redmond’s which me and my family love after watching your video on it. We have completely transformed as much as we can afford to Redmond products.
I would love to go along with you guys on a recovery.
Same as that mate
Me too! And I would immediately take a flight to the US for a HeavyD recovery mission! (I’m from Germany 😉)
I'm in nova Scotia Canada waiting for the call
Used to be good content now it’s nothing more than a long commercial constantly trying to sell stuff. Y’all have plenty of money and ways to make it, quit using RUclips for that other than when you genuinely have something to share every once in awhile, not every last single video you do now.
Agreed
This is the kind of environmental protection I can get behind.
Not the insane climate alarmist BS.
1/10th of 1 degree Fahrenheit rise in TEN YEARS, WERE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!! The Greatest $Money Grabbing SCAM In the World currently!😂🤣
BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, WHERE DO YOU GET THESE FANSTASTIC VEHICLES??------WHERES MY HELICOPTER AND LESSONS??--KEEP UP THE WONDERFUL VIDEOS
Love watching these guys gives me a good laugh. It would be fun helping on a recovering maybe sometime
If you're such a fan of AG1, then drink it on camera every video you do sponsored by them. This video is more than likely another fake scenario setup by your crew for views or them to buy your merch.
Dude, we drink it as soon as we get moving in the morning. It’s not an every time you drink “drink “
Haters be hating.
