It feels to me that, from a gameplay point of view: Blue is "Can't you see I'm trying to play solitaire here?" Red is "How dare you interrupt my game of solitaire!!!1!!" (oh wait, that's Izzet, but you get the point) and Green is "herp derp derp, BASH! CRASH!" (or maybe that's Gruul, but you get the point) which leaves Black and White, which make: Orzhov, which is "Just you *try* to kill me. That's right, go ahead and try, you tasty little morsel." so you know which colors I end up playing (or, at least, trying to play). So how is it that, when I took the quiz, I got Temur (i.e. blue, red, and green) ???
I have to agree the new guild quiz is really bad compared to the RtR quiz, kinda wondering why they didn’t use that one which was way more comprehensive and longer than 3 questions

I am planning to build a deck literally titled “the NSA” though... it wins by milling down to one silencer and 3-4 nexus of fate... with a flipped search out and ether beating their face in for 3 unblocable every turn or getting them with hit counters before I combo off...basically I’m building an IKEA gun... that looks at EVERYTHING!!!
Green sun is clearly green, but given it’s tutor, reshuffle, and (most notably) its replacement effects, it’s clearly either green/black (tutor) or if it is green/red (reshuffling is quite chaotic) or green/blue (replacement stopping self-mill planing ahead). Getting the right tool for a job is not gruul, as they’d just hit it harder, and it actively keeps itself out of the graveyard, so def not gulgori. This leaves it to the simic, who would easily have an octopus-bird built for the job if they can just find it. Besides selesnea already has call of the conclave, they don’t want a card with such individual focus.
The wizard's guild quiz was notably silly. Got Orzhov with secondary Dimir, then took it again and got Simic with secondary Izzet. Glad I wasn't the only one with some qualms about it. There was a far better quiz with some word association I've found very useful for character development, in that it helped characterize them and defined their motivations, keeping them more consistent. The color pie has many uses
The quiz was so simplistic AND very easy to "game," so I didn't bother.. I prefer that 50+ question one; ever since I got Temur on that, I never take any other quizes (including this one,) because I don't want to risk getting a different answer (I have a very "ostrich"-like mentality.)
I feel like Adam was more comfortable this episode, he was GREAT. Also, Arena definately needs to expand the Avatar options. After the m19 story I don't feel comfortable having Vivian as my avatar anymore
For the record, Green Sun Zenith is really more of a Simic card. The hard tutor does lean it pretty well into black, but being shuffled back into the library gives the swanky, draw happy blue the ability to hope for drawing it and casting it again
I’d say the test works pretty well. First time through I got Rakdos, but was told I’d fit in Golgari. Second time I got Golgari and was told I would fit in Rakdos.
I may have also spent way too long trying to classify various cards into the guilds back in the RtR block. And the only problem I have with this video is that I was expecting the planeswalker cards for Kathleen and Cameron to reflect their newly assigned guilds.
I love that first scene; it shows how people often have a skewed view of themselves and what they are. This happens often with Magic: the Gathering self-identification of colors, which is why you should always ask your friends what color they think you are rather than self-assess.
Counterpoint, the Boros is an organization officially sanctioned by the guildpact, they are not vigilantes. They act as the police and army, with some overlap with the Selesnya and Azorius.
watching this, I took the quiz and it said I was Golgari but could also be Rakdos, and most of what I play is some combination of the Jund colors lol my EDH decks are; Thantis, the Warweaver - B/R/G Slimefoot, the Stowaway - B/G Muldrotha, the Gravetide - U/B/G Zada, Hedron Grinder - R The Ur-Dragon - W/U/B/R/G

See, I got Gruul. I had slowly been slipping away from Boros, and I still think my personality has a good bit of white in it, but it's a brave new day for us all. Also, at 2:12, Adam is REALLY tall.
