Having this episode be called "The Gathering" as a bookend to the sketch that started it all being called "It's Magic" is absolutely perfect and a great way to cap off the series for now. I'm looking forward to whatever form the series takes!

I love all of the cameos and references in this, but taking the cake for me is the lines "You seem familiar" and "Did you always have those tattoos", referencing a fresh-faced pre-tattoo Benjamin Wheeler being the prerelease judge in the episode "Friday Nights - Prereleasing".
Just consecutively watched every Friday Nights in one sitting, and my need for the next one has not abated. All of the characters are so well developed, and the quality has stayed consistently amazing. Seeing it all at once only makes me want to see the next one even more. If there was one thing I needed to know, it would be whether or not Graham makes up with Missie.
They basically had complete creative control anyway. I think the only firm dictates WOTC had was that each episode be about the new thing and the PG rating, which I'm guessing will mostly be true going forwards anyway.

Just because other people discovered something previously doesn’t mean that it’s not a discovery when other people find them. What makes something a discovery is that you weren’t told about it and uncovered it on your own.
They said that they'll still work with WotC after this, it's just that they're still working on what that'll look like (something about WotC remodeling their online presence)

They generally play different characters on Friday Nights Also though the deck tastes of the person may change, people generally don't like characters changing except for on-screen reasons.

I always slow-mo through the character cards at the beginning, and it's been a while since one actually got a bellow out of me but GOD did Paul's ENTIRE card literally describing his role during Friday Night Paper Fight and Pre-Pre-releases make me bust out laughing! OMG So many Cameos! Using Ben's Tattoo's as a plot point, Kathleen fighting Jer, Graham getting advice from Alex's Ghost who may or may not be living in that room behind YJ, and both Matts!
Love love love that this ended with an FNM. Not only is it the series title, but it has felt more and more like the group only played amongst themselves at the moonbase or online. Fantastic to see the community

We really need an official update on Friday Nights - this episode was done (partly) to promote the Throne of Eldraine set and fast forwarding to now that’s the last set in standard. Soon this set will rotate out 😥 just like the series did 😓😭
