This is one of the best interviews I have seen with The stray Cats. Cafferty really knows his stuff and asks intelligent questions. He obviously loves the music. He is only 40 years old but I bet he wishes he was up there and rockin' with the cats.
Also, Sue Simmons. Do you remember her? She used to do these interviews, too. I remember when she interviewed The Clash, and Duran Duran. I couldn't find a copy of The Clash interview, but here's Duran Duran. ruclips.net/video/P1qj6nqhjZ4/видео.html Also, this was a good one from a New York reporter with The Clash, and of course, their visit in '81 with Tom Snyder. ruclips.net/video/LbWk0kUdKKQ/видео.html dangerousminds.net/comments/the_clash_take_on_tom_snyder_armed_with_a_teddy_bear_1981 I actually saw the Stray Cats live at a small venue out on Long Island January '84 - few months after this video, and they were amazing. One of the best live shows I've ever seen. Brian Setzer is incredible. I can't believe how long ago this was.
One of the few interviews where the questions and comments were well thought out, the interviewer did his research and he was obviously a fan. I was waiting for the typical corporate bs questions, but not here.

Jack Cafferty was very hip, unlike so many other interviewers at the time.

Straycats rule...
Their accents were so strong back then.

Now we know why they all have a slight British accent!
