Thank you so much! We've had a useless wheelbarrow sitting in the garage since last summer, or the summer before. I'm on a "project weekend" and I decided to see if I could fix it before buying a new one. Easy! Popped down to the hardware store and got one of these flat-free tires. Came home, figured out how many spacers I needed. Done in mere minutes. I truly appreciate that you took the time to record and upload this video. DIY stuff does not come naturally to me but with a Google search and your terrific instruction, it was a breeze.
Teressa this is the exact reason why i do this. this is the greatest reward. You are so welcome but it is my honor to help. Thank you for viewing.
I just replaced the tire on my wheelbarrow. Thank you for showing me how. You were very helpful.

I picked up a wheelbarrow that someone thru out. It had a bad deflated tire. I both a tube and tire for $20 and changed it myself. Now have a great wheelbarrow
Thank you for this video. It helped me get the job correctly.
Lisa Torres

You are welcome. You have the right attitude. Being home lets not veg in front of the TV lets just get busy and start checking off some of that to do list. So glad to help enjoy your day and get the stone moved Thanks for viewing.
thanks it me 5 videos before I found your video =:) ty mine did not come with instructions wasn't sure about the spacers. I'm also going to put some grease around the bearings.
Thank you I also just replaced my wheel barrow wheel!
Thank you. Very helpful.
Thanks so much. This was so helpful.
Kathy you are welcome. With summer here you'll get plenty of use out of it and NO worries of a flat, enjoy.
Nice one,Richard Gere lookalike lol.
Im in the UK,and i replaced both our barrows with these flat free tires.
One had totally perished and rotted away after 7 years, but the barrow was still in good condition,so decided to invest in these.Very expensive, almost the cost of a new barrow...but now its indestructible, and no more hawthorn punctures.
The axle bore on the new wheels was way too large for the 10mm bore on the barrows, but used some 16mm outer diameter steel tube sleeving to overcome this.
On a side note, one of the tires on our hand truck was punctured in a few places,so again,i found two 10" flat free tires on ebay, and hey presto,a perfect fit.
Now i have total reliability when i need it,as i cant really afford the inconvenience of a flat, especially in winter,as it just stops us in our tracks.
Thanks again.
That is my next purchase. My hand truck had a flat when I went to move our refrigerator and putting weight on it I wasn't going to work. Tired of grabbing my hand truck or wheel barrow and having flats so I'm converting them to this tire so I won't have anymore inconvenience. Thank for viewing and glad you were able to make things work.

Thank you for your helpful video. I’m done with air.

you're very welcome. That wheel is still rolln and love it. NO more flats. Thanks for viewing
Thanks for the video AND the inspiration. My UTV (Kawasaki Mule) has three perpetually leaking tires. This video got me to thinking about filling the tire with foam or a liquid leak stop. Gonna research that man! Thanks again and all the best, Charlie
+Charlie ZellnerThat sounds like a video in the works. I’m not sure about the liquid seal. I did have Slime in my wheel barrow tires but didn’t help. I’m on an acre and spring we get lots of weeds and Goat heads. They play havoc on my wheels, flats forever, just tired of it. With these I won’t worry any more. I know they make solid tires for many applications I’m curious to know the out come. Keep us posted. Happy to start the cranium fluids flowing, Thanks for viewing Charlie
Things your dad never taught ya cuz he ran off with a cocktail waitress. haha. Great vid!
JQ I hope she was at least good lookn... LOL thanks for viewing
excellent thanks
Thank you. I just buy and install my flat free tire.
Paul fantastic. Now no more worries. I never worry about a flat now and this wheel has been super since the install. I use my wheelbarrow often especially during the summer. Great investment. I know you'll enjoy now it's worry free. Thanks for viewing.
How much does a slight wobble matter to the plastic around the axle? Will it become cracked over time vs too much weight? I used an old tire from a kids' scooter a few months ago. (Please see my short video for reference)
Well I have to worry about changing sizes! Wish you had shown how to "pop out" the insert a different size to accomplish that.
What kind of axle grease??
how many beers deep were you when you filmed this? thanks for the video
How does it handle with the new tire? I'm changing my tire tonight in my garage as I'm doing like you did. Tired of flats. But being in January I won't be testing it for several months.
007 its not as soft as the tubed tire but bot hard to compensate. Bonus is its not as bouncy as the tube tire. Much more solid and easy to maneuver. I don't haul much heavy things but i built sandboxes for my grand kids and wheeled the sand to fill them and handled quite well. So don't freak when you do use it. it is a different feel but nothing to worry about. Best of all NO MOE FLATS :) Thank for viewing
@@TheShackHome Thanks! The tire is on, now I wait for spring.
When I tried to remove the nuts, the bolts just spin with the nut. The bolts don't have a slot for a screw driver or anything to lock it into place. Is there a trick to this?
Would be great if the wheel actually came with the spacers and bearings that you show on yours (2:25). I came here to find out why mine wasn't fitting right and was wondering why I didn't have the spacers and bearings they describe in the instructions when I noticed that the wheel I got was missing these adapters, so back to the store I go...
My tire axle IS 3/4" not 5/8". I have the same sort of tire as you bought. How do I get that hub off so I can put on the 3/4" hub?
$50 tire, ouch!
Melissa this tire comes with 2 additional bearings to mount this on a 3/4" axle. Just pop the 5/8" bearings out and insert the 3/4" bearing slide it on your 3/4" axle, then mount to your wheelbarrow your done.
The price for me was well worth it. We get goat-heads after any rain and i was for ever fixing the flat since replacing with this tire i never have to wonder if its going to be flat. I use my wheelbarrow all the time this was a great and necessary change.
The Shack thanks! I watched a RUclips video on how to remove the 5/8" bearing. Add that to your video for those of us that don't know how if you can. it was invaluable.
I have that exact wheelbarrow and now I know I can replace with these tires.
Great video. Thank you
Melissa you very welcome. Happy to help.
What prevents the wheel from sliding side to side on the axle
Wilston Wright the spacers on either side
How tf did you get the axle off
Radi0activeMnky
LOL WD40 let it set If it still won't budge you may need to replace it. Mine fortunately wasn't rusted very much. You could even try heating it up then try once cooled. Heat will expand the metal when it cools down it will shrink this may help break it loose. Thanks for viewing.
thats changing the whole wheel, not just the tire. but well done
what is the size of the tire ??
sparkles sparkles
it about 13" in diameter and about 3" width
@@TheShackHome Thanks
Now I know who stole my Wheelbarrow.
id never take one with a flat,..... Actually I would never steel anyway.....
This video title is misleading. It is not how to change a wheelbarrow tire. It is how to replace the entire wheel.
You changed the wheel NOT the tyre grrr!
Somewhat misleading title.
