- While Donald Trump found himself in more hot water over giving out security clearances to his son-in-law Jared Kushner and his daughter Ivanka, his former lawyer Michael Cohen spent his fourth day testifying at a House Intelligence Committee hearing. One of the areas of interest in Cohen's testimony was his claim that one of the things Trump ordered him to do was send letters warning Trump's high school, colleges and the College Board not to release his grades or SAT scores. We would bet Trump's grades were bad, but there's only one way to find out. So we reached out to the principal of The New York Military Academy (Fred Willard) where a young Donald Trump went to school, to get some more information.

When I was in the Army as a Warrant Officer, I needed a secret clearance. Those who required access to Top Secret information had to go through a very rigorous background check. I doubt Trump or any of his cronies could survive the scrutiny.
EXT - Agreed - 50 years ago I too secured a Top Secret clearance to communicate command conversations and battle statistics in the Army Signal Corps. The vetting was extreme and every aspect of my young life was examined. Clearances are not handed out like back-stage passes cause your daddy works as the bouncer/doorman.

I required a security clearance (Blue Badge) in order to navigate the nuclear power plant the company I was working for was building. I was called in to discuss my clearance due to the fact that 7 years before I had filed a chapter 13 bankruptcy. They were concerned that I could be vulnerable to being offered money for information. I did get the clearance since my debt was under $10,000 and I was paying it back. How many times has Trump filed for bankruptcy and what was his debt???

Was there SATs back then? I looked it up, the SAT began as an IQ test for military use per Wikipedia, so DTJ may have taken it way back then. I took the ACT in 1974- you could choose that instead. There was no prepping in high school back then to take these tests that I remember. The ACT lost my test, I have no idea what I scored, and I never needed the results. How things have changed.
