- Thats right, this customer was NOT HAPPY about the change order, but it had to be done. While excavating the patio area, we noticed that the soil was extremely wet and tat we needed to dig more than what was originally planned for. Luckily, the homeowner was understanding and we were able to move forward with no issues. Shoutout to the Applewood team for always doing amazing work!

This man's business slogan should be...Want a second mortgage?? Hire me
You say that it was a mystery as to why the soil was mucked. It was obviously the downspout drainage not being directed away from the area. This was a drainage issue NOT a grading issue. But nice job on soil removal up-sale on both. 😆
A good contractor would have installed a French Drain to allow the soil to dry out.
Totally unnecessary change order to remove the soil, but offer no solution for excess moisture.
it is good point to mention, the source of the issue was not addressed which may be groundwater
Yeah no. He did the right thing and he'll be able to sleep at night
You almost had me until you mentioned your mentor Grant the con man Cardone
Dude if you think grant is a con man then you really don’t know much about anything. Personally I don’t really like his style and the way he does stuff but that doesn’t make him a con man. The con man is his brother not grant.
@@Headlesshorseman69
Grant is a big talker braggadocios bloviating grifting con-Cardone….like Donald J. Trump.
Not that I’m a Biden fan in the least…
“The con man is his brother”. LOL. Really selling the “he’s no con man” idea hard with that one.
@@Headlesshorseman69he's literally being investigated for fraud.
He's a self help guru..... He made his money selling get rich quick schemes with help of Scientology. That's not a scam it self but he is lying.
His real estate fund is a scam. He is being investigated for buying property and then selling it a mark up to his investors.
@Headlesshorseman69 you're not making a good case dude! 😂
That looks really good dam... im glad theres so many haters, doubters, negative Nancy, "this isnt possible" type of people.. that means more jobs for me 👌👌👌👌👌👌
You screwed him 😂😂
Did you ever find out what caused the original soil to be so wet? (I realize you mentioned it was unknown in the video.). We all know what will eventually happen if it is an unresolved leak.
You said 1k for each dump truck out l, and 1k for each dump truck in… then you said it took 5 in and 5 out…. That is 10k… yet you did a 20k change order. Charging for drainage? Folks this is why I do this shit myself. I pay like 1/5 the cost of this guy charges. No stress, because you are raping your customers.
These con artists have a space to operate now, time is slowly running out. When jobs turns slower, these guys will have to radically adjust their prices or fizzle out.
What a scam. The water was coming from the roof. The drainage would of solved the problem. All you had to do was excavate to subgrade… install drainage and let it sit for a few days to dry. Then proceed as normal
Everyday cost 4000 in labor. I can’t afford to wait a few days. Show must go on
@@TigranGertzI’m sure you have other jobs lined up.
20k for 5 tons of type 2? Wow. This is the biggest rip off I've ever heard of. I have French drains installed in my landscaping every time and Flip houses. I never ever ever ever ever heard of 20k for some tyoe 2 fill. Wow. last patio cover I had installed was 6k. landscaping was 17k but it had 9 full grown palm trees and tons of plants. Buyer Beware. Get three bids.
1 thousand per truck load is pretty steep. It probably 500...what a rip off
It probably had a decent clay content. Adding 5% lime to the soil probably would have addressed the issue - along with a drain. Minimum soil removal.
Bro T I’d love to come to a job site with you I own a business in Tennessee and Arizona and we do the same thing you do but at a smaller scale but we do very honest work I watch almost all your videos when I can thanks for all the tips!!! 🎉
HE said Arizona, your not going to find ground water near the surface
Often, its a dry clement.
What he has done is made a low water usage landscape.
Thats what you should do in most western states in dry areas. Lower the water usage. No grass.
Or very small lawns. And yes add drainage.
Looks great. I think the covered patio is a cook out area away from the house. That could be an outdoor kitchen area. With a bbq.
Funny, the pavers you took out hadn’t failed.
wow got my follow when you talked about your life being good and you being tested!!!!
This is a pretty good channel. Thanks T.
Great job
Tigran operates out of San Jose? Bay Area? Wages there are high, and so is the income.
Did you do a soil sample? I don't know if "muck" is a scientific term😂
U need to hit leg day son!
Every Thursday boyyy
NICE NICE NICE !!! This is nice!!🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
$1k for a haul out? That is a scam and you should feel bad. National average for dirt delivered is also well below $1k.
Turned out beautiful!!!! Love it!!!
This is (usually) covered in the paperwork as “sight unseen”😀
No way to put all that good soil separate from the bad one and using that as fill soil. Also no way to get some cheap fill soil for 300 a semi truck either. no way at all
Can you film the grant event. i would buy that program.
What are your thoughts on Cardone's class action lawsuit? Might not be someone to associate with.
People sue all the time for things that aren’t real. Have you even looked into what the lawsuit is about? Even if he loses the suit it’s a minor thing that has nothing to do with if his business is good or not
He won 2 days ago. look it up
What was causing the wet soil??? Could this happen again??
Nice job but I don't see how people afford this kind of job in the economy we're in now. To me, you would have to find a super rich area and hope noone else finds it. I've always wanted to start my own landscape company but am wayyy too scared about the economy.
Soil inspection
Like your hat. What brand is it?

This guy charged 20k for that tiny hole in front of the sliding windows ? Wow.
Wow T, I am so glad I saw your edit! This is some of the best advice that contractors must develop for their success! For several years now I have enjoyed watching your business skills grow! Keep doing what you’re doing!😉
That's a great job 💯

Another ripp off!😂
You can maximize the amount of profits by only running a single jobsite at a time but if you’re not able to delegate responsibilities to multiple subordinate leaders then you won’t be able to scale from $5-10 million into the $25-75 million range. What you’re doing is very important to build your reputation but once you are scaling up your allowable tolerances to absorb the cost of mistakes will get to a point where you aren’t incurring any new stresses and not damaging your reputation
Yo T are these voiceovers 100% freestyle of are they scripted/you have some notes to guide you?
This guy “T” sure loves to run his mouth a lot about how much money he makes, what you’re supposed to do to be successful and how everybody else does everything wrong, not once have I seen him do an honest days work of actual labor😏. I wish he’d stfu and let us just watch the guys work.
One grand for a load to the dump where you going with that load. and one grand for substrate. that home owner must not know anything. yikes
Your legit boss quality is what counts. experience is the one that counts Keep your head up.
What is with everyone hating on grant cardone for? He isnt the most likable guy the first few times you see him online because that’s his marketing style. but what he talks about and the way he does things is really good.
i’m not a hater i’m a new viewer/subscriber I thought this was educational tbh ❤ from AZ.
Educational on what not to do.
Grant? Really?
Why do you even associate yourself with someone like GC?
You still look Dorky 😂
Jk
10 mins at a job and you know what's happening? I doubt that, you have a big head
Im a contractor quick tip charge for ur work that client its not ur friend when comes to money i charge mi time my crew time and mi office time mi truck my equipment tax of everything insurance and then profit they dont like it its not my problem move on 😂😂😂😂
Lol its the right thing to get a 20k lol rip off
you made a big mistake: where is you contract ? you need a design drawing stamped by the AIA with speciation's then approach contractors to bid the project. shorting cutting this process will cost you big time.. Welcome to the world of contractors. that is why they make more money than a MD.
Too many RUclips adds!
