This was a terrific "real life" lesson. You are a wise and wonderful teacher. Thank you for sharing this example of how to "see". Your gentle approach to the stranger reminded of another Great teacher. I never knew you counseled the mentally ill, that was a nice little glimpse into another side of you.
There seems to be no reverence at all in our collective for the Grand Creator of that Black Hole... we should "never forget the wellspring of all knowledge and wisdom."

I’ve got Sun square Pluto too ... and my bf and I had a man enter our apartment. We had to get him out, but were also compelled to stay with him while he cried in the courtyard afterwards. It was a hyperreal and transcendent afternoon in just the way you describe. Thanks for your excellent teachings!

Adam. I so deeply resonate with your discourse on the Chthonic and the black hole image. As soon as I saw the photo of the black hole two things happened. The seed of a novel arrived instantly. And the recognition that this “hole” was and is a lot more than an event horizon. The collective impulse to flatline mystery with the measurements of the mind is why we are soul sick in the world today. Ps. I love love love that Hillman book.

WOW! I've only recently discovered you, and I am just thrilled. Your study and transmission of this very important and difficult material may be the most cogent I've encountered in this milieu. You're certainly in alignment with everything I've been studying, and you've illuminated (!) this powerful energy very well. How illustrative of your own aspects and transits! Pluto has been an active force in my life experience, having a couple of mates with it conjunct their AC; it is now in opposition to my natal Jupiter/ Uranus in the 8th , and conjuncting my son's Sun ( a recovering addict who has worked as a counselor in recovery facilities)- heavy-duty stuff! This information is very helpful in my astrological counselling with HIM especially. So, many thanks! And for introducing me to James Hillman's books, which I ordered immediately! I predict (and I'm not a predictive astrologer) that YOU are going to be a powerful voice in the astrological community! BRAVO!

I was born 1/26/1986. Aquarius sun 6°... I have basically a Scorpio and an Aquarius stellium, lol. Scorpio rising 4°, with south node 4°, Pluto 7° plus Mars 25°, still in the first house. Aquarius sun 6°, Mercury 2°, Venus 7°, Jupiter 23°. I just realized I have three placements of each sign below 7 degrees and one over 20.
Thanks for this personal story. Yes the universe is so mysterious to us humans, but sometimes I think we miss the blindingly obvious, like, don't we actually live in a black hole?

photons have no antimatter particulate twin. we cannot make all unseen things seen, they must be experienced. this is a "good enough" reason for existence, imho.

Also I wanted to say that since Jupiter Stationed and then went RX, I have felt like I was strapped in to a roller coaster, and this video just epitomizes all of that, i was blown back by its momentum and thrilled around the turns, and wondering where the heck is he going with this? It was exhilarating.
I've noticed that Pluto does have to do with power dynamics, and those taboos around WHY some people have more power than others. If we say, "hey why is that person treated so differently than that person" , that's a taboo. The power structure doesn't like it, and may even say shhhh that's not happening, don't cause strife. Pluto is related to the dynamics of marginalization and I hope people can listen to this video carefully and draw that from it.

My daughter was born with this particular aspect Aries/Cap square (April 2018). I too have a sun-pluto square in Leo/Scorpio but mine is a closer degree. We’re both Scorpio Risings too. 😆

I believe that when we try to bring that which is void, that which is by nature dark and unknowable, to light, we delude ourselves into believing that we have actually achieved anything. The aspects of the void divide into the visible, yang, solar aspects, and the invisible, unknowable, shadowy yin aspects. The further we research, the further the shadow retreats, until we arrive again where we started. Regarding the linguistic aspect of this, if you're not familiar, I would suggest checking out Jeremy Narby's The Cosmic Serpent, in which he talks about the shamans of the Amazon having a special language they use to speak of the spiritual nature of things- called "language, twisting, twisting".
Yes, I've read Narby! I worked with Ayahuasca for ten years and also wrote a memoir about the experiences that was published in 2010...you may enjoy it. Its called Fishers of Men: The Gospel of an Ayahuasca Vision Quest. The ancient Babylonians had a very similar idea about the language of the sky. There is also a book called The Heavenly Writing, by Francesca Rochberg, which I'm guessing you would also like! Thanks for this great reflection!!

Actually isn't what was seen any accretion disk -. the detritus of what is is not pulled into the still unknown blank hole? It's the stuff of an estate sale - telling us very little of the life lived amongst the unwanted leftovers
