    Dear Acyuta-bhava, I am a 73 year old man living in the mountains of Utah. I am in very poor health, 24/ oxygen and inhalers with other complications as well. My friend from North Carolina told me about you and am so grateful he did. I have been studying Evolutionary astrology for over 35 years with Jeffrey Wolfe Green and Steven Forrest. Now i have essentially converted over to Hellenistic astrology. Listening to your videos brings great joy and wisdom and it is real meaningful for me get things like this before I transition through the door. Namaste!

    I loved listening to you reading from the book, very appreciative of your teachings. The great deluge and the boat and the fish lord all sounded like the great flood and the arc crossover.. fish lord being Jesus, fish 🐟 Pisces. I’m not Christian; but I have heard the biblical stories. Great floods and deluges make me think of the great tidal waves caused by the sinking of Atlantis…

    I never comment on videos. But your take on the lunar nodes is something I think anyone seeking knowledge should hear. What resonates most with me is that the “western” take on the north node being the direction we should go, and the south as what to avoid is fundamentally flawed. I have always placed a great deal of weight to the nodes because I was blown away by Jan Spillers book. It was like reading myself. And it did help gain clarity on issues I was experiencing at the time - first lunar return at 19. But now you have opened my mind to a greater possibility and I see that the south node should not be vilified and that each node doesn’t represent a direction we should go toward or away from. This was really insightful, and brief. I will be interested to hear more of your thoughts on these topics. (South node Pisces - so the metaphor of the ever growing fish was certainly personal) Thank you!

    I am SO grateful that you share so freely the knowledge you've obviously worked very hard to obtain. I've studied astrology (sporadically!) since I was a teenager (64 now) & have looked at Vedic astrology, "divined" my days with the I Ching, among many other modalities of self- understanding. Astronomy was a first love...and still fascinates. I studied philosophy in college and have thoroughly studied Krishnamurti...Joseph Campbell...now exploring the mind of Arthur M. Young (a great mind!) I feel so fortunate to be alive in a time when so much knowledge is available instantly...as well as our connection as intelligent humans. It's refreshing - and reassuring!- to know that YOU are doing this work for us in the world. You've cleared up some murky waters for me today.... Thank you!!!

    Wow! That was deep and very well argued and supported. I have resisted the idea of samara because my current incarnation has been tough and I'm hoping to learn my life lessons and "get out" of this material plane. I like the story about the fish growing out of its spiritual waters and needing a new container. It matches what I've learned in discussions with reiki masters / intuitives. Going to listen to part 2 next...thank you for providing this content!

Your style totally satisfies my spiritually-minded and very heady nature (Virgo sun, Aquarius rising, Sagittarius moon). I've been considering joining your astrology school. 🤔 You've become my go to astrologer. I respect that you go in depth and don't dummy things down.

    Dear Adam ~ how timely (and timeless!) your presentation on the Nodes is for me... I’ve been “in the middle” ( & muddle ) of the very questions and conundrums you speak of here. I’ve been worried because my landscape of fervency, desire and yearning has become neutralized for most of this year ~ others tell me this is depression, yet I do not feel depressed- in fact, I feel no distress but, instead rather liberated and calm. It is only that other people think my current state of mind and being signals that something is “wrong” with me. I’ve experienced so many losses, disappointments and pain over the past decade, that I’m finally comfortable not seeing them as painful, etc any longer.
    I feel a serene sense of No Direction in particular; but not lost or woebegone. I don’t quite know where I am (linearly) and I feel that the future will provide as yet unimagined “desires” ~ in this way, I have no particular desire but that for learning. So, I really loved this talk you’ve shared. I needn’t “Worry” that I’m experiencing a different reality than that which psychology and society believes to be “normal” and healthy: Desirable!!! Namaste

    Thank you. I’m new to astrology. I came to astrology to heal childhood wound of watching my mom drown when I was eight. I just had one reading and what I loved most about the reading was to feel/sense a hollogram of my mother when we compared natal charts with the event chart. My chart is heavily Plutonian, Chiron and Lilith along a Pisces Virgo axis. My moon is Virgo/mom’s sun Virgo along this axis. Her and my N and S nodes lined up.(N Taurus S Scorpio) In a sense it answered many questions that an 8 yr old would have about a 27 yr old mom. I found it very beautiful. The last week knowing that I have two heavy duty years ahead of me for healing based on chart and astrologer interpretation I have spent some grueling days doing exactly what you discussed in terms of getting an A on a test so I don’t have to repeat these things (I’m exhausted trying not to drown myself is the predominant feeling I have carried for over forty years) I HAVE been torturing myself over S node lessons and N node recompassing. And have overwhelmed myself. I am grateful to you today to allow me a place to float/doggy paddle and Ask myself how much I need to know in order to get to shore. Or can I simply allow the waves to wash through me and find myself there without studying for a test. Thank you for the peace this brings to me today 🌟🙌💖🌊🌊🌊 🐟 🐠

    This was next level, Adam. Absolutely fascinating and I really needed to have this perspective presented to my collective kleshas today in order to help the mind to become a little more clean clear. The samsaric dance is so lovely and terrifying and sublime. The readings were top notch. And you are so spot on about the fundamentally flawed understanding and usage of karma as some rectifying force that is time based with a past and future component. I am so grateful that you brought this moment of sanity to my beginningless now. Namaste.

    With S node at 5 Cancer in the 12th/N node 5 Cap the 6th, (also Jupiter 27 and Uranus 29 Cancer...Chiron 25 Cap) I find that the more focus on my own health and boundaries, the more empowered I feel, and the more it frees others from attempted manipulation by me. Houses of loss, net gain for everyone.

    *** Rather timely, too, I think this new moon in Virgo ♍ activating the Earth Trine is a huge moment in regards to the energy at play. (I did a tarot spread about it, this video speaks to the advice theme)
    Ultimately, it's beyond annoying that so many in the astrology / spiritual community tend to GLOSS RIGHT OVER the nodes. Either that or blow them way out of proportion. Thank you so much, for this valuable time and info 🙏💞

    Catching up on some of your older videos, and the nodes are one of my interests. (kind of strange to see you using your old name ;) I guess I need to do more learning about Lilith now, as I have South Node conjunct Lilith (in 11th), and am trying to decipher what that might mean. My North Node is sandwiched on either side by 7 deg orbs to Jupiter & Part of Fortune (in 5th). I did birth three sons, two of whom have given or are about to give grandchildren, so that fits for Jupiter wide conjunct north Node in 5th. But that Lilith and South node have me stumped..

    I’ve read Jeffrey Wolf Green’s Pluto books. Yes, he did get messages in his dreams from Kriya master Sri Yukteshvar, who was Paramahansa Yogananda’s teacher and guru, and a great Vedic astrologer. I assumed that some of the evolutionary theories are based on ancient Vedic astrology. It’s a uniques and eye opening way to look at Pluto, the nodes and soul evolution !

    Meant to be. I just wanted to tell u how I came to experience beginninglessness in 2003. So in short it was a power play at that took me out of my body and cored me and 50 years later of yoga from 70 s with lots of exp. I found from a more devotional motive myself in calm third eye sense of seeing about me that there were no boundaries. It goes on forever but even with that I find it hard. Tc

    Jeffrey Wolf Green - I have his excellent book "Pluto" as I have Pluto conjunct north node and wanted to find out more. He says of this that it "correlates to the need to continue in the evolutionary direction that have been worked on before" Nadiya Shah says it means being able to attract powerful people who have a transformative effect on the native. Then again....as you say it is about a loop between north node/south node. I can relate to this will nodes under rulers Mercury v Neptune which plays out with an intellect v intuition. The word that I'm thinking of is integrate - that is what needs to happen. I need to work on integrating the mind, analytical with what I have purely as a sense of knowing. I wonder if this term integrate applies and might help others understand for their particular north/south polarity. Much kudos to you Adam. Looking forward to finding out more about your classes. Can you make a short video to promote the classes? that way we can find the joining process a lot easier. By the way - I love it that you include your daughters as a reference and love the story of "Gi gi" keep it going I say.

    Thank you for clarifying! I've always thought SN being the past NN moving toward lessons to learn was flawed. I'm having my second Nodal return and it FEELS a lot more about balancing the energy of the two signs and house placements. My SN is in the first, people keep saying "its about selfishness" NO IT IS NOT! I know that is not true, it is about balancing independence within relationship (7th house) It isn't "Oh you were selfish in a past life and now you have to learn to work with others" BS! It is moving into society Gemini and out of solitude Sagittarius (monk-like). It is about balancing the intuitive philosophical higher knowledge with the factual mundane knowledge. So glad to hear an astrologer get that right!

    It's the same; decrease and lesson from past lives (For me this time anyway). I don't know anything about that fall, though. South node and Mars in Libra in 3rd: biting, bitter, cutting responses. But let me get bullied at school or out in the world, my devastating words disappeared. I was all "hey chum, yeah", as if the cruelty was a friendly overture and I was kind of dumb. Over decades I've accidentally turned enemies into allies, but more importantly, I starved the bad wolf. Much much later I caught the scent of past life lessons. It was an impossible goodness that came through. (I don't want to study past lives though. Like that, It's only available through the moment now. But it was a lesson learned in a past life, I'm sure of it:)

I won't say I disagree with you but, man I have alot of questions and clarifications needed. I do think it would serve you well to have a sit down with Mark Jones or the like. Yes the Nodes! ... It never ends! ... We come in under a certain degree (South Node) in a zodiac sign and then we leave on the other end of the North Node, basically out of the dragon's mouth, back into the non-material. It'll be interesting to get to know the pattern from one life-time to the next and how the nodes are moving in regards to birth-data. Does it jump by signs, or by degrees maybe? If you leave as a 16deg TAU North-Node, as what does one come in within their next life? Should be quite interesting to get an insight upon this. Maybe you come in as a 15deg. TAU and leave as a 15deg SCO then? ... meaning since the nodes are moving backwards, so each being may be 'doomed' to go through this whole 360deg. cycle? ... while going through 360 life-times? ... before they finally move onto another realm? ...
    ... hmmmm .... ?
    What I never really grasped is WHY our souls are confined to being recycled into this particular physical/material realm. (There is an insight by someone, yet I cannot prove if it's true.)
    The Universe is so vast, and I cannot see that there aren't other realms and possibilities.
    After all, we're making a soul-contract and if it's in the non-physical as it is here in the material world, most contracts are often to the detriment of the 'user'. There are constant boundaries and restrictions that aren't life-affirming, mainly laws that only benefit a few while the majority puts-in more life-force-energy than they ever are rewarded for, while others are syphoning-off so much that what reminds of usury and bleeding our lives dry, just as they do the same thing with animals and nature.
    It's actually really sick!
    Also, whom do you make a contract with when you're in the non-physical?
    What if you chose the option of 'No, I am not coming back here?"
    I mean this isn't a great place to be with all it's tactile hurt and pain through these so called five senses. It makes me wonder if there is 'a glitch in the matrix' so that something happened along the so called time-lines where a virus has infiltrated this Matrix? I mean, who would design all this just to create suffering for the many? ... while NaTuR is about authenticity and natural expansion of life and natural decay, where the enslavement of human life is basically UNnatural for that most aren't able to live out their true and authentic self, never get to shine and exercise their true talent, that what is natural to them so to contribute in a positive way to the collective and all life.
    If you want to believe history, war was always raging, murder always present, and in this last century through technology it resulted in mass-killings while the rise of the industrial age has taken humanity more and more away from bonding with nature and that what was naturally given forth to us as our habitat. Free energy, for example, is having a hard time to establish itself, because there isn't any fake FIAT-money in it for the world-wide slave-masters, you know ... and I could go on, and on, and on. The sickest puppies in it are the military, Poli-Tics, the pol-ice force with their violent acts against human beings, priests and their churches so 'to doom and gloom' human beings with their satanic ways, and those corp(s)orations who run BIG Pharma and mess with GMOs ('Frankenstein would have been proud! ;-( ugh!) while also looking to use Nano-Technology to alter our DNA and to implement this terrible "One World Order' where they are now even talking about chipping human beings so they can get total control over our bodies and minds.
    Yet, they are using human beings to enforce all their sick plans, a totally parasitic demeanor of wanting to keep themselves on top of the Pyramid-SCAM-System. And most human beings cannot see this. :-(
    Does it ever end? ... this having to stay in this perpetual mode of 'same old, same old'? ... that what is mainly rooted in a 'game of hierarchy' where human bodies are just used and abused? ... for profit and power for some few 'goonsters'?
    There truly comes a time when 'enough is enough'.
    How many gazillion of so called 'life-times' has a soul to re-live?
    The body is basically a prison/prism-cell! ... built out of a group of millions, or billions of cells moving together in unison to keep this illusion of a complete body that moves through a life-time.
    I love the story of the fish! :-)

    Nice video Adam. How is it that vedic astrology can produce such wisdom yet be so dualistic in it's approach with its good and bad planets etc?

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад +1

      Planets are significators of the world of duality, which we live in and experience our karma in. Therefore, we need planets to signify both the good and the bad. It's not that the approach is dualistic, it's that the reality we're living in, trying to see ourselves in clearly, is dualistic. Also, higher reality is also dualistic, it still includes distinction, variety, and differences, it's just that those differences are perfected and resolved while remaining distinct. Dualities are reconciled, but not annihilated, in God. So the good news is that you still get to be an individual in the spiritual world, so to speak. It's just that your individuality, and all activities in the spiritual world, are timeless and also perfectly harmonized. Duality isn't the enemy. It's our ignorance of God, despite God's omnipresence, that creates a KIND of duality that is deeply painful.

    Would you say the nodes are a reflection of our desires and losses rather than the influence or cause?
    Also, if the North node represents gain and desire it makes sense that it is also an area of learning and growth.
    Don’t most of us gravitate and invest in areas we perceive we are rewarded and away from areas of perceived chastisement and penalty?”

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад +7

      Yes. The north node literally just tells us the shape of our desires, the force of our desire and how it is driving us to create a story, a story that will perpetuate material entanglement and more desires and more lifetimes. Many people are driven by desires that absolutely do not benefit them, while others are driven by desires that sort of benefit them, while others are driven by desires that totally benefit them (we're talking about benefit now in purely materialistic terms--temporary material happiness). Nothing we gain from our material desires will not eventually end, and the pursuit of material gain is thought of, generally, as entangling...a product of being in ignorance about our spiritual nature.
      The south node is also not about penalty or chastisement. It's simply about loss and diminution. Sometimes great material gains and happiness come through different forms of loss. More often, as the ancient astrologers pointed out, we don't like loss or suffering, materially speaking, and yet it is when we lose things we have desired, or when we can't obtain what we desire, that we stand to learn that we don't actually need what we desire.
      On the other hand, you can learn a lot from the desires of the north node, but not typically by satisfying them as much as from the disillusionment that comes afterward or through the complexities they present. For example, think of Jim Carrey. He said, "I wish everyone could satisfy their desire to be famous just so they could realize that it's meaningless." This is a "north node" kind of realization. What do we realize after we've gotten the thing we desire and had to actually deal with, maintain it, and then feel the disappointment or disillusionment when it is gone or lost, which it will surely be, just as surely as this particular body will eventually die? And remember, to the ancient astrologers, this is all we know how to do because this is our nature and this is all we've ever been doing...recycled spirits, moving through different states of bondage in different bodies, characters, settings, in all different species of life, all across the Universe. The human life is considered significant specifically because it offers the somewhat rare opportunity to inquire about our source, about the spiritual realms, etc.

      Adam Elenbaas But, in this example, if you loose your fame in this life you will gain spiritual emotional growth, so there is not so much difference between the north node and south node gainings.

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад +3

      @@andreac.6779 spiritual realization isnt inherent in the nodes, or in anything at all in the chart. So yes, in that sense spiritual realization is an equal opportunity employer! The north node is the fame, for example, whereas the south node is the loss of fame. Neither are inherently positive or negative, which is why the Hellenistic astrologers noted that they could both be good or bad, depending on the context. Indian astrologers basically believed that fewer people learn from the realization of their material desires and far more learn when they lose something material. That's the point! Jim Carrey didnt learn his lesson until he experienced a degree of disillusionment with what he had gained. His ongoing relationship with his desire for fame is thus transformed.
      Ultimately, however, detachment from our desires isnt the point. We are also looking to develop a different and healthier desire, which is the desire for the love of God. So even south node detachment from worldly desires isnt the point.

    • @andreac.6779
      @andreac.6779 5 лет назад

      Adam Elenbaas thank you, what do you mean spiritual realization is not inherent in the chart? Do you mean we can not read it there or read how we can evolve spiritually?

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад

      @@andreac.6779 the chart simply describes our karma. If we are interested in truth, then it's possible that we may come to relate to that karma more consciously and less ignorantly, in which case understanding our karma by means of the birth chart can be really helpful, but the process of enlightenment isn't outlined in a birth chart.

    Do the nodes indicate a dark night of the soul insistent? Two astrologers took a 10 min. Look at my chart at a Super Bowl party and tikd me the weren't reading charts anymore but they would do mine. They also said sometimea the universe can't give you,more until it takes away. After that I got divorced, lost friends, family, job, career, home and had several close relatives pass on all in 3 years. The most terrifying, hopelessness time of my life. @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад +4

      No, not necessarily. For many people, from time without beginning, our desires are merely perpetuating an endless string of events. Those events may or may not lead one to begin to inquire about their own nature or about the absolute truth. For many people they don't. There are always opportunities, abundant everywhere, in everything, but it's not a foregone conclusion that people are taking advantage of them. Many people remain in ignorance, which is the basic nature of who and what we are, so long as we remain identified with the transience of materiality.

    I deeply appreciate your wisdom and I am very grateful for sharing your astrological knowledge. What I don't understand is why you want to "correct" the view of evolutionary astrology. It is just a different approach/ focus. The cycles of nature are endless for example but saying like I am going from winter to spring this lifetime (just an example) doesn't contradict the whole turning of the wheel. Is it understandable what I am trying to say? Maybe not :D

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад

      I do not personally believe it is a "different" view...I believe it is an incorrect view, one that is also deeply out of line with the traditional metaphysics of ancient astrology. If I didn't think these differences were a big deal I wouldn't have made the video explaining them! Of course folks are free to disagree. I think its important to understand the facts of our tradition and then intelligently decide what we are committing to!

    • @Sibelvisions

      Adam Elenbaas I hear you, even though I have to say that no tradition, especially a spiritual one, ever transported facts. It is about insights, point of views, but facts?!? I mean the sandcorn on a sandcorn in an endless universe can only assume. I personally believe (!) that you are right but that evolutionary astrology is right as well, maybe until new insights are born. Thank you for replying.🌸

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад

      @@Sibelvisions I said the "facts" of our tradition. It is a fact that the nodes were not understood or used in the way they are now by the mystics who were elevated enough to recieve this wisdom in the first place. To me that speaks very loudly. I leave it to others to make their own decisions. I do not support the view that just because reality is immense that anything and everything is true...which, I fear, is a rather delusional position that belies a kind of new age laziness. Ancient mystics of all traditions were avid students, and the teachings the ancient astrologers brought forth were not just a collection of opinions. If anyone studies ancient philosophy and spends enough time with our source texts I believe you would come to the same conclusion. No offense, but your response leads me to believe that this is something you definitely have not done. I can only say to try it before saying that any one philosophy of astrology is just as good as the next. These aren't buffet options, they are serious takes on reality and the craft of astrology with very different ramifications. People dont understand this because they aren't patient or invested students of our history. That's my position. And again, I do not mean to direct anything negative at anyone personally.

    • @Adam-Elenbaas
      @Adam-Elenbaas  5 лет назад +1

      Also, the idea that spiritual traditions dont or cant speak to the nature of ultimate truth is also, to me, false. Can we circumscribe ultimate reality with the mind, no, but that doesn't mean that everything is completely relative, either, which ironically is it's own absolute truth claim.

    Really interesting - have for a few years been following EA and read Jeffery Wolfe Greens books, it in fairness helped me embrace my creativity more but I guess that was happening naturally anyway - I come from a very Christian background and I'll admit doing EA rubbed a little against me, the whole concept of I need to be evolving/improving resonated badly, like again I'm wrong in my being the whole shame and sin issue, I'm also Gay and came from a time and culture where it wasn't acceptable so the shame ran deep (Uranus conjunct Venus in Libra 2nd House apposing Chiron in Aries 8th House) SO the last year I've really been challenging actually everything is as it needs to be right now and how can I best use our current energies in a physical and metaphysical way, just being gentler on myself even as a triple Virgo haha it's not wring to be just where we are right now.

    The wheel of life is endless, while we are on it we will propel ourself forwards by attraction and aversion - this is the nth and sth node? If we transcend it we can go beyond the endless cycles of rebirth , we can enter into a state which is infinite and also endless but not governed by the continuous churning of the wheel of life. The wheel of life represents our karma and fate.... is this correct?
