Daily Defense #37: EDC & Your Car

- We spend a lot of time in our cars, so a personal defense emergency may happen when you're walking to or from your vehicle - or even when you're in it. When going from a building to your car, pay attention to who's in the area and what they're doing. Are people bustling about, or are they loitering? If the latter, keep an eye on them, especially if they're near your vehicle. When you get in or out of the car, lock all the doors immediately. A car is a confined space, and in the event of an attack, you may not have easy access to your gun, so your "first-strike" defensive weapon may be something else, like a large flashlight. Its purpose is to buy you time to access your gun, exit the vehicle, OR even just drive away. Ideally, you want to park your car as close to the building as possible, in a well-lit area (at night), and in one with a lot of pedestrian traffic. Criminals are less bold when other people are around. If you need to leave your firearm in the vehicle, make sure you have a dedicated lock box for it. Hiding it or locking it glove compartment is NOT enough to secure it properly!
Bike locks work great for anchoring around seat frames
Thanks, some great points
Can Brownell please do a video and what Brownell is doing to preserve the right
Just FYI, we are no longer getting notifications of your new videos. I am subscribed and notifications are turned on for Brownells and for RUclips but nothing. Still getting them for my other subscriptions as long as guns are not involved.

EDC=? Extreme Defense Concealed? Extra Detour Considered?
Why wouldn't you want to hide your gun in the console? I've got a conceal permit, that's what it's for
To make sure that is secure and not just hidden while you are not present.
Can we get a presenter with actual tactical advice? The topics are all so shallow. Captain Obvious isn’t cutting it.
Gotta consider the audience. This sort of thing may not be so obvious if you are just getting started and not have fully adapted to the mindset.
A sharpie as a weapon? Lol, how about the 4000 lb guided projectile you’re behind the wheel of? That said, I have no problem drawing while seated. You should be advising people to practice that instead of looking for a sharpie.
