  • You never know when you can come across a traffic accident or when you are gonna be stuck in traffic for a prolonged period of time. In these situations, it's always nice to have some essential kit standing by.
But don't get carried away and think about your scope of practice. You can quickly become "Mad Max" and your vehicle becomes jammed with too much stuff. You should be prepared, while still having enough space to drive. A former Special Forces combat medic, Luka Zorenč, will take you through the essentials he never leaves behind. Superb video! Having enjoyed your videos on TCCC and now seeing this, it is an honor to know that for the most part, I carry most of the same equipment in my own medical bag that I have in my car when I travel (save for the portable litter; an oversight which I will be rectifying post haste!). As I also volunteer at a number of local events, I also carry my pulse ox, BP cuff, stethoscope and the like, but understand they wouldn't be used a lot in a car accident/trauma situation.
Also, THANK YOU a thousand times for actually pointing out (unlike most of the "Preparedness/Tacticool/Ready for the Apocalypse" RUclips people) that if you can't perform some procedures, DON'T carry the items with you and/or use them, as a general rule. I can't tell you how many people are going through their EDC and immediately pull out the needle to do a chest decompression, even though they have zero training or capacity to use one and advocate others carrying one "just in case." I absolutely agree that if it comes down to saving a life or risking a lawsuit, save the life, but come on - let's have some responsibility in the videos we present. Well done, indeed, and well said.

Your emergency medical kit is great but the one for your car is very lackluster instead of jumper cables you should have a booster box
your car needs more water than that when it needs water so carrying a bit more of that would be smart
A few other things for your car kit that would be infinitely helpful would be
    A set of socket wrenches
    A spare set of fuses
    A few road flares
    Super Glue/ ca glue
    Tow rope or chain
Foldable Pocket knife with window breaker and seatbelt cutter
A old cell phone with charger in a well-padded pouch ( can still be used to contact emergency services) used as a backup if your phone is lost or damaged
It's always best to take into consideration the type of terrain and climate you will have to contend with as the things you will need for people and vehicles will be different in cold or arid climates swapping out water for antifreeze for instance the name of the game is taking as many contingencies into consideration that are applicable to your situation as possible

Yeah, in most Euro-zone countries there has to be a reflective triangle, small medkit, a portable small fire extinguisher inside the car. All costs less than $20, so it's not a problem - it satisfies the regulation, but the quality can be below(like Luka said about the medkit).

The most important piece of gear you can carry is cordage made into a tourniquet . 1 meter or yard of parachute cord with a large loop at one end is perfect if you can draw it from a shirt or trousers with one (uninjured) hand . Cool video BTW & THX .

Disagree with your advice to keep medication inside your vehicle. Temperatures can easily surpass 70 or even 80 degree C and in this case the tablets or whatever you keep in there are likely to deteriorate in a matter of a few days.
