- Here's the second video looking at how to improve realism and really expand FSX into a living, breathing world. This can be achieved by installing and running FSX with various mods and addons to enhance the game experience.

Footage of the A2A Cessna 172 was used with permission from A2A Simulations.
I got the HD Airport Graphics addon and it actually looks pretty good to be for every airport.
Thank you so much for all your very helpful videos! I recently bought the A2A C172 however when I open a free flight it starts with the engine off and I am unable to get it started. Any advice on how to solve this nuisance? Thanks and keep up the good work! 👍
For the Free Aircraft downloads are there any commercial Jet Liner Addons... wait for it.......... with FULL Control Panel Capability/ Functionality?
Ok, now I NEED that 172!!!
Thanks again.
Small correction, landclass doesn‘t define roads and bridges, that would be vector data.... 👏👍
I've seen damage mods for some default and addon aircraft (mostly default), and I'm trying to figure out how they made them. I'm kind of willing to do maintenance on aircraft in FSX but not all FSX aircraft have damage mods. Some FSX users want to be mechanics instead of pilots.
Oh man, i thought this was about making mods, i wanted to make a Smart Fortwo with plane wings
Can you recommend some good PayWare Add-On Sites?
is there a G1000 version?
There are a few G1000 planes in FSX by default and I'm pretty sure Carenado offer some addon planes which have a G1000 panel.
How do you get real weather change during your flights?
Usually it automatically updates during the flight. If you're using an external tool such Active Sky or the REX weather engines, you can change how frequently the weather updates (every 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins etc)
Doofer911 I have rex4 texture, but it doesn't involve a weather engine I guess. And we can select an option in fsx to download real weather every 15mins. Why do we need external programs?
Nope, REX Essentials had a weather engine as part of the software. Basically, an external weather engine gives you more precise weather conditions in the sim compared to the default real weather option. This allows certain features in add on aircraft to work such as accurate weather radar readings in commercial aircraft.
any thoughts on the new fs? worthwhile getting if you already have fsx?
Which flight simulator? There's several available at the moment
Which is bettter X Plane or FSX for pilot training and realistic feel of aircraft?
I would say the physics engine of X Plane is much better however it's not too user friendly at the moment, FSX is much easier to get started in. That said, X Plane 11 which is due out before the end of the year will be worth taking a look at.
okeyy. So what PC requirements are need for X-plane ??
You'll have to check the X Plane website, they should have requirements listed on there.
Ohk. Thank you very much.
fsx runs better FR on my PC. but it isn't really realistic imo. I feel like I'm actually flying in xp11. like you said the coordinated turn ball doesn't move
I was hoping I would learn HOW to mod.
i don't think that payware addons are worth it, because FSX is very old now.
Yeah a lot of addons are expensive! It's a niche hobby we have though so companies can get away with charging a little more because there's a lower number of customers.
Shame on you...you referred to FSX 'as a game'...go to your room with no tea.
+Slartibartfast Aww...but...but............aww!! :(
no tea is a bit harsh, how about tea, but no milk!
Lol really? FSX is a game if you have no mods installed. Far from realistic. Besides, let people play the way they want! Jesus Christ.
If you want a simulation go fly DCS
