Great video. I never thought of creating separate libraries for all the music and EFX. Yet, this is a very powerful tool and I really appreciate this tutorial.
[4:03] Not sure what I'm missing but after downloading the Fairlight library I am not ready to add sound effects to my project. I need to add the database into Resolve first, which makes me wonder why we created an empty database earlier on...
As always Jim, thanks for supporting the channel - watching and commenting. Hugely appreciate you taking the time to check it out and feed back your thoughts! Glad you enjoyed it! 👍🏻
Few notes on the blacklight fx library. Look at the date dec 07 2020 to find it. Also the next button did not appear in my windows browser until I shrunk the window down.
Linux lets you choose where to install the Fairlight library, I choose a network drive so I can access it from other DaVinci installations. Video was a big help.
Brilliant video thanks, fairlight is catching up to Protools, Audition and RX fast, only thing I want in Fairlight is an editable Spectral frequency display.
Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out how to find my sound files! I wish I could have gotten this figured out sooner. might have saved me some money. but I'm definitely gonna rock it all out in my editing adventure I'm beginning.
Great video. Thank you for helping speed up production. I just need help in organizing files. I just been load stock footage, however I just got a external harddrive so I do not know how to set this up. Do you have a video or advise. Thank you in advance

Awesome video, thank you Alex. I am a DaVinci beginner. While following along, I encountered the problem that the Blackmagic Fairlights Library didn't show up after the download. I am on a Mac. I fixed that problem by selecting the hamburger menu (three dots) within the Sound Library Panel in Fairlight, and selecting the folder where it is installed. After that, I could search with *** and by term directly. Question to you - I am a non-native English speaker, and I often don't know what to search for, because I don't know what a certain sound might be called. I tried terms like clap, smack etc., but that didn't yield anything in the search. Do you have any advice or maybe a list of good search terms to describe common sounds? Thanks in advance!
Hello Alex and all...."***" only shows the 1st 1000 results in my library of 9000+ sound files. I can't figure out how to get it to list the entire library. Pls advise
May could tell how I can make sync between many different audio without stop I mean mix many different music 🎶 how I composed without stopping .thank you very much.
Hello! I'm a Colorist working on a Mac using a Wave panel controller, I've downloaded Fairlight but it's saying device not supported? do I need an audio mixer for Fairlight to work? Thanks!
Hi, I have a question. Whenever I'm adding an SFX from the Sound Library into my project. It places it in a random bin (the one that's open). Can this be changed to a default location?
So I'm still a little confused on the actual process of importing the sound effects I have downloaded into Davinci. Like with LUTS, you can go to where it's saved in the computer and import there, can you do the same with SFX?
Do you have a video telling about how to make sound effects to your liking, for example, adding an echo to voice or making music sound muffled like it comes from a car. Or which Frequency to adjust to make a voice come out more above a music file.
Hello, how can I remove some or all sounds from the Local Database or Fairlight Library, so that the titles are no longer displayed. If the sounds or the folder are moved or deleted, the titles are still displayed. But you can not access them. Thank you.
Exceptional Alex, thank you. And I agree with the Viewer who commented that Davinci Instructors don't cover or teach the framework within Davinci as to where Sound/Music and more should be treated - BRAVO for you!!! Questions: On a PC, in a PostgreSQL environment how would that change the process? You do touch on it but not much. And yes I know most viewers would be installing this on their disk. Do you create one Sound Library dB and add new libraries to that? Would that be the same process for PostgreSQL? Does Davinci or say ADSR Sound Mgr read the metadata of the content so you can search on that? Or are they TEXT or Keyword driven?
Hi Me! Great to have you onboard. Really appreciate you taking the time to watch, comment and subscribe. Anything you’d like to see in the next few weeks particularly?

Yes Steve they sadly have. I checked with the team at Audiio.com. It's an important point that the lifetime deals may not be around forever and do come and go so if you get the chance definitely jump on the opportunity when you can. The good news is that their lifetime music offer is still available and is currently only $199 (60% OFF) - l.depiqd.co.uk/audiio-music
Reply to this comment if you've been using the Sound Library, Fairlight Sound Effects or Audiio.com in your productions.

The only thing that concerns me with using free sound effects is having copyright issues in the future. What are the possibilities of this happening?
Royalty free means no copywrite issues

"***" in what world does a programmer make this a reality and think he's doing a great job?
They were going to use "all" but thought it would be too confusing. Really should show all by default but whatever.....
