Check out these awesome new commands in Plasticity that allow you to deform bodies, create high-quality surfaces, and drive direct edits with measurements
That type of move with a noted dimension and selection types has been in other CAD package even the free ones for approaching decades - so Plasticity is just catching up or even, just getting started. But the surfacing stuff is getting beyond comparison with all but the very very best. Absolutely no hesitation for the product designers out there interested in form and shape that can't afford the SolidWorks, Alias, Nx. Catia. Warping / deforming and wrapping looks very cool indeed.
Did, wonderful update. Cannot wait to get it installd. That square command and feature set looks amazing to make middle lofts work well. Thanks for all your hard work!
Deform needs an rigid option, to put them in place without warping. This feature exist on Matrixgold called autobase and smartflow ( but rigid is really important)!
I've bought studio license last week. Indie would be enough for me, however I wanted to support you. And next week you are releasing new version with awesome features. That feel when I know that I did it right with my decision. Thank you! Keep going!
You guys need to do something about fixing topology for mesh exports. Or if you have tutorials to this effect. I really need a tool like plasticity but I can't deal with all the clean up after. This is the only reason I still haven't purchased after trying twice.
im vibrating out of my fucking chair rn. im so fucking hyped to see parametric workflows and constraints starting to make their way into plasticity. im this much closer to using f360 only for edge cases and migrating primarily towards f360 for printing
Thanks for best software in my life😊 But could you tell me how I can make array of objects with fixed distance between them, not between centers of objects?
Have been following the releases-unstable channel and trying one in every few betas but it's so exciting seeing it all come together like this. Well done on all the hard work Nick!
oh. my. god. adding your in-house explicit control on rebuilding curves and the xNurbs square tool that allows you to choose number of spans and auto-aligns them to adjacent surfaces is something that I thought you wouldn't get to for a long time. I'm so glad I bought a Studio license long before you even added xNurbs... any chance that these features will be ported over to the Linux build? I have trouble getting wine to run the windows build of the program.
Just installed an hour ago and had a quick play. For the Square command there is nothing in the online documentation. This looks like it's pretty vital to understand how to manipulate the settings for this command as there are situations I ran into and was unable to solve the issue of creating a G1 or G2 surface on an object I'd created, which I am sure is solvable. The Square command can simulate the two rail command in Rhino, which is pretty nice and much requested by users so the Square command here gets a very big tick.
Awesome update, thank you! Will we ever get the ability to apply materials to specific faces/sheets? This would be extremely useful when exporting our models to other apps.
Question: Once you set a dimension, does it "stick" like a constraint - or can other operations somehow inadvertently change it if you're not paying attention? I guess I'll give it a shot soon and find out!
Can you do something about the scale tool. More often than not I want to scale an object from a pivot point and snap it inline with another point, simular to adobe illustrator or transform in photoshop but it’s not possible.Scaling is still guess work in plascity
YES, with measurement based editing and reverse engineering tools - I finally see what I need to jump into Plasticity :)))

Yeah hope they improve this topic further!
Loving all the new features! Plasticity keeps getting better with every update!
Plasticity is the most exciting new software I've seen in the last decade, congratulations
Fantastic work. This is giving ripples in the industry.
Awesome on what you have done with you tools to support the artist out there, thank you for what you do!
very cool! I love the precise orientation I love that we are getting backwards and forwards interactions with measurements
Excellent. Plasticity is becoming more and more powerful machine
Awesome! Very much love the dimensioning and constraint stuff.
Congrats Nick! I hope to see more surfacing features in the coming releases.

Yippie! Thank for all your hard work Nick!
Deform.... Wowser. Now that's so so powerful.
Brilliant! Thanks Nick! Awesome features! 👍
Thank you! Very useful and well designed features!
Awesome additions! This will definitely help me with some of my current projects!

This is fantastic! thank you so much for all the effort to make this software better and better!
I'm going to make good use of many of these new features! Thanks!
Great release. I Love every single part of it.

Congrats on the release - fantastic!
Thank you Nick!
Amazing as always!
Fantastic upgrade, thank you!
My body is ready.
also this time amazing features! Thank you ❤
Awesome stuff!
Super useful!
more measurement improvements please !
fantastic
Love it
Updates coming just a few days after I upgraded to Studio.

Awesome!
very nice !
I'd like to see more details on the reverse engineering capabilities.
Super
Lets Go!

nice!
Is it possible to add constrains to plasticity someday?
cool !

Will the Duplicate Linked feature be added in the future?
whoaaaaaaaa!

Try freestyle scale doc.plasticity.xyz/common/scale#freestyle-scale
Oh, it is really cool)! I already have the license but how I can upgrade to this version?

When will plasticity be available in Spanish?
Awaiting a Linux release
It's on our web site and in the discord
@@nickkallen1Flatpak please
@@nickkallen1 will Linux eventually get xNurbs functionality?
when will xnurbs come to indie version?
Instances / Components?
This verion is avalibe now?, plastisity auto udate or need download?
When can we get Flatpak for Linux? So all linux users can use Plasticity. Even those on Atomic distros.
