The NZ airport is Wellington Airport which is one of many in the country. That dragon celebrates Weta workshop which is based in Wellington.
I worked for the airlines at IAD years ago and no kidding you wouldn't believe some of the things that are shipped in cargo holds of aircraft sometimes

They obviously meant Kim Kardashian. My joke was that she's not connected to Kanye anymore today. Everyone knows the woman in the picture is not a celebrity.

I never thought of it, but food would be a great carry-on. Apparently they don't even give you peanuts anymore.
Reduces risk of giving peanuts to someone with peanut allergy, i reckon, aside from the obvious cost cut.
They stopped giving out peanuts, because of the prevalence of peanut allergies in the world. Someone with peanut allergies, sealed into a flying aluminum can with other people eating peanuts, could be a problem for the person with the allergy.
