    Seriously, the man who cleaned the park deserves praise,
    but THE PARK SHOULD NOT BE IN NEED OF CLEANING.
    You take your trash with you!

      In windy areas trash blows in from spilled bins etc. Obviously THE WIND SHOULD NOT BE BLOWING.

      @@653j521 In that case, the bins need to be replaced. You know, I spend lot of time outdoors, and I know for a fact that the spillage because of wind etc makes up a very small portion of the trash pollution. People just drop it as they go or leave it. Don't blame the wind for what people do. (And as I pointed out before, if the wind at all CAN spread trash from the bins, the bins are hellishly badly designed. (By people.))

      Yes, stop trashing things in the first place.

    While it's admirable that a CEO re-distributed his bonus to the lowest paid employees, it's a shame that it was necessary! When a company does well, EVERYONE should receive a bonus, because it was the efforts of the line workers and the janitors and the lunch lady that made that success possible!

      It's called profit sharing and yes it happens all the time. I've had profit sharing with numerous companies.
      However, your hourly pay or salary is already the compensation you agreed to.

    A couple of years ago, I commented to my wife about a news story that I had just watched. I told her "this idiot Googled how to
    dispose of a dead body" and Siri immediately responded "How to dispose of a dead body, there are too many queries to answer on this devise." I unplugged it, and haven't used Google voice since.

      Denmark has no minimum wage, but their average cheeseburger meal also costs nearly $15. They aren't paying them out of charity.
      What the socialists hate to discover, is that this pay is based mostly on *_the free market_* (aka capitalism, aka consumerism).
      _"The country's economic freedom score is higher than the world and regional averages. Denmark's economy is considered “mostly free” according to the 2024 Index. The independent and corruption-free legal system provides strong protection of property rights."_

      Paying 3€ more for a meal than in the US and having livable wages and health care without need for tips for all the employees is a very good deal and is obviously no problem in developed countries.
      If you can afford to buy food at junk food places, it does not hurt to pay the important workers serving you your meal in a sensible amount.

      @@alexandrasmith7682 It's funny how you think there's any difference whatsoever in how much profit the company makes. That's why the cost is higher. The profit is carved in stone; that's the entire reason for the company existing. Extra benefits for employees simply raise consumer prices to the point where the consumer can afford to buy much higher quality goods at the grocery store. It's one thing when fast food is a bit more expensive than making your own burger at home; it's quite another when you can make a nice chicken parmigiana, or shrimp scampi dinner for that price.

    • @BurtonShotton
      @BurtonShotton 23 дня назад

      @@deineroehre You not only pay the additional retail price, you also pay much higher taxes overall. Why does the retail price need to be so high if the higher taxes are allegedly in place to cover the cost of universal medical and retirement benefits?
