For me this music evokes the fragility of life and how all of the Earth's creatures are dependent on the decisions we make and how we treat them and the environment we live in, and ultimately our own existence. Guard and protect our Earth. We only get one.

I've listened to this family's music for a few years now, and have always been partial to their redendtion of this song as the absolute most beautiful. So much so, my family and I ensured it played prior, during, and after end-of-life moments with our beloved dog of 14 years, Shelby. In that way every listening takes us back to her, and the lullaby we said goodbye to her with. Every journey has been like the very first, and therein lies the majestic beauty of this song.

It sounds like we were never removed from our destroyed heritage when I hear the graceful notes abound from their instruments. I'm glad that our original music is being rediscovered through the Kanneh-Masons. So much has been lost, stolen, destroyed, & written out of our history as the claim that we are inferior people moves about. This is proof positive that we are and always have been deeply intellectual and well accomplished as a people in antiquity and in modern times. We just have to get to that point where we confidently know our true history, so we will no longer be lost and have a sense of our true selves for a better tomorrow. GOD Bless!!!
