Sheku has teamed up with his sister Isata Kanneh-Mason for a festive single, ‘In The Bleak Midwinter’, recorded at Abbey Road in his own unique arrangement.

To be honest I never listened to classical as much until I heard you and your sister play on the cello and piano. You and your sister are so very talented please arrange more music. You both have a way of conveying emotion in song that transcends lyrics from the usual music I listen. You’ve opened my eyes to a new world of music and I thank you. Keep up the good work.

I saw them both in the lobby of the Roosevelt Hotel across the street from the Orpheum Concert Hall after the concert. We were sitting in the Fountain Room having a bite to eat and I looked up and there was Sheku with his cello and a few feet away was his beaming dad. By the time I got my camera ready to take a picture, I saw his mom and they were getting on the elevator. I missed getting a clear shot but I certainly recognized her. Sheku was phenomenal. Three standing ovations with two encores. I’m planning to fly to Atlanta to hear him play with the Atlanta Symphony in April. I love classical music.
I have lived a long time. Long enough to know of special moments that simply leaves one blown away. This is one of this times. Wow. Wow.
I got to see this amazingly talented family perform on saturday in my country Antigua and Barbuda. I was blown away. So glad I got to witness their talent

I was privileged to hear them both in Berkeley last night. This was their encore. All 7 of the Kanneh-Mason children are musically gifted.
It’s amazing that their is a single thumbs down on this beautiful work of art. Apparently they no nothing of quality music when they hear it.

I can feel the emotion each time they play
They play like angels. So in control of their instruments, so in tune with each other, and the music. I have never liked the cello but when Sheku plays it, my god, what joy!

I have seen Sheku’s facial expressions give away his love for the music before, but I like his playful nature on this song. He is feeling it and allowing himself to have fun with it at the same time.😎. The way they collaborate when they play is like twin fusion. They are totally in tuned to one another. 😻 Beautiful.
