When planning my trip, with my sister, to Texas (I'm from PA), I stumbled across this RUclips video and put the museum on my list of places to visit. Carroll was the most gracious tour guide of his unbelievable collection of Americana memorabilia. Afterwards we went to the old time soda fountain down the street for a root beer float and milkshake. I felt like we were took a trip back in time. Hillsborough and this museum were really one of the highlights of my trip to Texas!

Thanks for collecting the stuff of my generation, so much of it is gone. When I think back of all the cars and trucks I should have kept but didn't it makes me sad.

Check out my book, “Dirt Roads to Dixie.” It’s partially about how all that cultural memorabilia you’ve collected helped modernize the South.

As it were....makes you feel out of place in today's society. You can never go home. It's old! We are old!
No more street corner Sweet Shops, Bobby Socks or doin' The Bop!
Other old towns should follow suit.
