  • How much quicker does a custom ETHANOL (E30-E35) JB4 Tune from Jesse DaBears make our MKV Toyota Supra project car accelerating from 0-60mph now that we have a custom FLEX-FUEL / ETHANOL ECU tune (E30-E35)? We'll compare our baseline 0-60mph Testing from our 2023 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium to today's acceleration tests using our Dragy Performance Meter (see link below). As our newest project car, the MKV Supra is only starting on it's modification journey to add additional performance, backed by DYNO proven increases in power (horsepower & torque), and supported by acceleration tests, including the 0-60mph test, and 1/4 mile drag racing to determine if our power adders are indeed making our SUPRA faster as performance modification manufacturers claim!?! Our next step is to get the Toyota GR Supra on the DYNO to find out how much horsepower and torque the Burger Motorsports JB4 Custom Ethanol ECU tune from Jesse DaBears of 1FastSupra produces before we start installing and testing various Toyota Supra performance modifications!
    *SUBSCRIBE TODAY...*We'll be reviewing GR Supra modifications, walking through how-tos, mod installs, taking the car to the dyno to test horsepower and torque, testing the Toyota Supra's 0-60mph and 1/4 mile acceleration, and finding out if the most popular Supra car modifications such as an air intake, exhaust, downpipe, ecu tune (ECUTEK, MHD, BM3, JB4), etc. really does add the horsepower car performance manufacturers claim!?! We'll be using our 2023 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium project car as our test Supra to test all of our Supra modifications.

    You should definitely do it prepped and possibly with stickier rear tires like nittos or toyos

      Hopefully I'll get to the track here soon to test both the 0-60mph and the 1/4 mile times.

    All these videos have been great, as an owner of a 2023 I am contemplating all the options! Do you think maybe a roll from 50-100ish would be better to measure power? I think these 0-60 tests are more around traction than they are power. That said, seems like good times at such high elevation!
    Do you notice any weird throttle lag with the JB4? Some people reporting that! I have the JB+ and downpipe now and love it, but the throttle can be a bit weird at times!

    • @TheLemonFactor

      I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying the videos 👍. It does seem that the community does favor the 60-130mph as a metric, instead of standing starts.

      @@TheLemonFactor even stock power overwhelms the tires from a stop! I think anything rolling would be a better representation of the added power! You could also switch maps (back to stock power) to have identical conditions!

      The issue for me is finding a safe level spot that I can do repeated testing 🤷‍♂️🤔

      @@TheLemonFactor how did you do logging for the custom tune? Did you go to a track or dyno? Or just find abandoned street in ‘Mexico’ and do rolling pulls?

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  Год назад +1

      Yes, I do have a nice stretch in Mexico, but it’s only good for up to 90-95mph.

  • @directmk

    my car just spins its tires. pretty hard to get a good 0-60 time with them spinning...I put 295's on the rear and that has not helped either!

    • @TheLemonFactor

      I assume you’re using the launch control???

    • @directmk
      @directmk Год назад +1

      @TheLemonFactor nope, cant seem to make that work. But i dont even need launch control, there is no turbo lag, just instant tire hating, tire 🔥 power. I do however have an APR exashust system on mine. Maybe that part of the extra 🐎 power?

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  Год назад

      I do have a short showing how to engage launch control - it’s a night and day difference. I’ve tried launching with and without it and would never be able to get close to these numbers without it.

    Have you tested the ethanol content in the E85? A recent FM video stated that E85 on the Western Slope of Colorado is often only 70%.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  Год назад +1

      I haven't, but it doesn't matter as the ethanol sensor will tell you exactly what % mixture you're running.

    E30 would be noticeable on any petrol engine so long as it's tuned with the correct addition ignition timing.

    Hey chad. Are you finding your supra much more quicker and fun than your big turbo accord? Im thinking of going with the kuro turbo on my accord as well, but im also on the fence about trading in the accord for a supra. I keep going back and forth with the idea but at the end of the day, the accord seems to be more practical and more cost efficient even with the money it costs to make the accord faster. What are your thoughts on this?

    • @s58jessie
      @s58jessie Год назад +1

      If you have the funds and have done your research/interested in the Supra with the gen 2 b58 than you should definitely upgrade to the Supra. I have personally upgraded to a p700 on my accord and I plan on picking up a 21 or 22 Supra

    • @Fecho00
      @Fecho00 Год назад +1

      If you have another daily/car then practicality wouldn’t be an issue. I wouldn’t suggest trading in for a Supra if that would be your only car. Unless you got it like that.

    • @nickc5341
      @nickc5341 Год назад +2

      @fecho4840 I have a second vehicle but its a beat up 2010 corolla. Not really as nice as a daily as the accord. I use the corolla for driving on crap roads to work. I'd love a supra but it's hard to justify spending supra money when I can only drive it 5 months of the year. I'd rather not drive it in freezing winter. If money was no object then I'd totally have the supra and the accord like Chad. Lol.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  Год назад +2

      @nickc5341 - two totally different cars, regardless of their power output. I love them both, and find that if it's been a while since I've driven one, I really appreciate it when I get back in it. The Accord is definitely practical, comfortable, and now has plenty of power when I want it. The Supra is a dedicated sports car, and feels like one, but also had a very comfortable ride, which I appreciate. With that said, and based on my lifestyle needs, geographic location, I wouldn't be able to get away with just having the Supra. I'm very appreciative that I have the means to have both : )

    • @nickc5341
      @nickc5341 Год назад +1

      @TheLemonFactor thanks for the response, Chad. I am in the same position as you, where I can not rely on the supra as a daily since Canadian weather is horrible in the winter, lol.
      But I am considering trading in the accord in a couple of years to get the supra. Do you have any plans of going with a bigger turbo for your supra as well? If so, I will definitely be following your build as I do with the accord. Thanks for all your content.

    So youre at sea level. Which equates to .4-.5 off so at regulsr DA and sea level. You would be hitting 3.4s and lower all day

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  Год назад +3

      I'm not at "sea-level", I'm between 5,800-6,000 ft ABOVE sea-level. Yes, I would definitely be running a few tenths faster if I were at sea-level with a much better DA.
