Es una maravilla. Lleva 25 años casi grabada a fuego en mi cerebro y dudo que llegue jamás a olvidar un solo acorde.
Este juego es la mejor secuela espiritual que el Winter Games de Epyx ha tenido y tendrá jamás.

Did this run in the Saturn's high-res mode?

      I don't think so.

It looks like it runs in a progressive hi-res, perhaps 704x240 or similar. The horizontal resolution is certainly much higher than the vertical.

This kinda sucks from a format perspective
    · Speed skiing isn't timed, it's all about the speed just at the bottom section. If I had to make it into a videogame, it'd be some sort of "balance" game as the way to achieve maximum speed is to keep stable despite the wind and bumps.
    · Ski jumping has 2 jumps and the results are CUMULATIVE plus it's also important to have a good landing. The whole thing has like 5 phases including keeping a good position in the in-run, timing the jump, the transition towards flight position, holding the flight position and then deciding when and how to land. SEGA AM3 just reskinned freaking long jump.
    · The downhill event in alpine skiing is both good and awful. They knew that pushing part is important... and then forgot about the classic schuss-neutral-braking/carving most games do, how jumping is bad and you need to minimize it and how the whole thing should easily be at least 90 seconds long.
    · Short track speed skating is another reskin of a Summer event. The real thing was done surprisingly alright in one of the Mario & Sonic games, where turning meant you couldn't gain speed.
    · Ice tube sports are based on pushing and the driving (holding the position isn't hard) but IRL all sleds can pivot quite a bit. You don't brush against the ice-covered concrete walls, you bump into them, the biggest loss of speed is caused by the blades drifting. I don't think I've ever seen game where that was done right...
    · The slalom event in alpine skiing should've been snowboarding GS
    · The closest thing I've ever seen to some aerials-like control system is how MFing SSX did flips and spins back in the PS2 era
    · The Torino 2006 videogame probably had the best version of sprint speed skating. The game had a button-mashing start (for around 100m), then it was a matter of timing your blades right (different rhythm on straights than in the turns). Really nicely done for 500m and 1000m events.
    · WTF was that snowboarding event? Pushing with your backfoot, gates, jumps... WHAT!?
    · They reskinned another Summer event (1500m IIRC) for cross-country skiing. How can you do it right? The best alternative is to make a more active version of how Pro Cycling Manager works or making it into a "adequate technique minigame". Skiing has different techniques and each one is good for a different kind of situation. You have crouching, skating without poles and several ways to skate using the poles so it could be fun to have it so that you just need to pick the right technique at each time.
