The blue dial on the steel bracelet is my second-favorite iteration of this handsome watch - I own my favorite, the rich green dial on the high quality green rubber strap. A rugged, stylish diver that looks the business but costs a lot less than it looks like it should cost. Home run for Longines.

Hi Anders, thank you very much again for yet another great review. I think I'm a subscriber around 2 years now and It's been always a pleasure to see the content here. I think the key factor of the channel's charm is that it's humble, like you said in the beginning of this video. I love it! I believe you have got no budget constraint when it comes to collect watches but you never let viewers feel that, you never brag or rant, as you are not a watch snob but rather a watch enthusiast. You don't invest on channel for expensive lights or HD camera, long edits or effects etc, but it's simplicity makes the reviews comfortable to watch. I feel like I'm chatting with a friend. I like one-shot videos, it's like Sergio Leone movies, immersive... I like to see that you praise sometimes a double digit thousand Euro costing Rolex, but you also can enjoy a 60 Euro Casio, as well. These make this channel unique. Please, don't change this!
About the watch... it's nice that you paid attention to Longines recently. I suppose I left a comment some time ago about this brand, and I like that this brand received appreciation from you as a high-end collector. Thank you. Regards.

Hi Umi. I really appreciate your comment. The way you experience my content and that I enjoy a wide variety of watches - from very affordable to luxury - is exactly how I want it to come about. I guess that is how real wristwatch passion is.
I’m planning to upgrade with better lighting and camera but the down to earth style will stay.
      Thank you very much.
      Best regards,
      Anders

I own one. Bought pre owned for less than 700 pounds sterling. Its just great for the money. Looks worth more than the cost. Also I find at different angles and light you can see different colours around the bezel and hands. Agree with the comments about the bracelet and clasp but all in all a great piece from a brand that has huge heritage

  • @istvantoth7431

Indeed. Definitely wears as 42-42.5 mm, easy.. because of the lug-to-lug distance (51mm !) and the big crown and crown guards... So don't get mislead by the "41 mm" case width
I have this watch in black. Loving it. Runs +1-3 secs a day. Very good movement (Omegas had the same in the early 2000s). I wish only if the clasp was a bit better quality.

Just purchased the black version and I'm in love. It's my new daily and has replaced my Monta Oceanking Gen 2. The Monta O.K. arguably had better specs, however the uniqueness and quirkiness of this dial design along with the history of the Longines brand make this one a winner for me. The modified ETA 2892 with 65 hrs power reserve was the cherry on top. Highly recommend 👌

It's what I would call an 'affordable' luxury watch. I think I might buy one to go with my Omega DeVille Prestige, but this time I will buy quartz as I take the automatic Omega off for several days at a time and get fed up winding it on whenever I do. I too have seen the green dial but prefer the blue. I only wish Longines did a white dial with a blue bezel, because I feel sure that would sell like hot cakes!

@@TimeAndCrown my thoughts exactly! It does feel like a quality piece on the wrist tho. The case and watch itself is superb, nice heft and quality feel.... Although I have a small grove with the clasp, a lot of Breitling watches have the same clasp at a higher price point... So I guess if you’re gonna save costs somewhere I’d prefer it on the clasps than on the watch itself as you can buy it on the rubber strap which is amazing or switch out straps as well... the clasps is definitely NOT a deal breaker the watch is an excellent buy for the price

    • @roshangomes5975
      @roshangomes5975 3 года назад +2

Hi joonas. It has a saphire crystal glass which is very resistant to cracks. Sapphire (whether natural or synthetic) is one of the hardest substances on earth. It measures 9 on the Mohs scale, which is a system for rating the relative hardness of various materials. (Diamond measures 10, the highest rating.) It would probably be a very costly repair but just be aware that the material itself is extremely hard.

Love the new Longines Hydroconquest but have to say that the lack of screws in the bracelet is negative, the centred links polish negative, didn’t saw the smaller links ? It’s a good upgrade, and finally the poor lume is very disappointing ! Have an older Hydroconquest Chronograph from 2016 automatic is a good horse power movement with column wheel very good feeling operating , the cons are just too busy and has the lack of smaller links , when I bought it it was a good deal now I wouldn’t buy it anyway it’s in my collection, near a two Certina one from 2017 the other is from 2019 love both, but prefer the dial of the older 2016 ( blue sun ray burst dial, prefer the movement and the clasp from the 2019 model !

When I first got it (Birthday gift from the wife) it was running -4 sec per 24 hours out of the box but the more I wear it the more accurate it has become, it's currently running approx -1 sec per 24 hours sometimes even less, I've seen 48 hours with zero loss a few times already, once a week or so I give it a full manual wind which seems to help with the accuracy, also the power reserve is outstanding, I've let it run down twice and both times it's managed over 70 hours

I just got this watch a week ago. I love it and hate it at the same time. It's beautiful, accurate and all that, in fact I find it the most beautifull diver watch (blue rubber 41mm). However what I can't stand and understand is the oversized crown and crown guard which makes it significantly uncomfortable to wear. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get used to it. Guess I will give it a little more time. It is so annoying because if it wasn't for the crown it would be a perfect watch.
