The Next Best Bait For Sheepshead | How To Use Oysters To Catch Sheepshead

In today's video I revisited an old topic from previous videos: How to use oysters to catch sheepshead! I show you how I like to rig oysters to make the baits more durable and harder for those Convicts to steal. I begin the video with that tutorial and then roll into a solid day of using oysters to fill up the cooler with some of these delicious fish. This is also my first time using a baitcaster on this channel and I'm brand new to them in general so I hope you enjoy me struggling as well!

Get left handed baitcaster, thats what I use. I dont know how people use right handed, ive always reel'ed with my left hand on spinning reels so i dont know why people would change on baitcasters. KastKing has some real nice ones pretty cheap.

How late in the winter can you catch Sheepshead inshore?

You can catch them year round, but in the middle of winter some of the larger ones move offshore to the nearshore reefs. But there's still plenty of good eaters around

They can be caught year-round but in the winter there's certainly less competition. But the biggest ones usually go offshore innthe winter months, but you can still catch plenty of decent ones to eat and often more of them.
