Redcat took that victory hands down I was shocked how well the 24 did trx4m retails for $429 here I don't have an interest in that kind of money for it especially how it stacked up there this is why I'm picky what I buy fantastic comparison Brent we'll need to see redcat v utb18 now 👊

The Redcat from the start has shown good performance and with the wheel/tyre needs no more spent. But showed the other 2 up with a lot of money spent on them, but know the TRX4m body would hinder a bit but my Landy looks so cool. Shame that they do not support the UK but we cannot have all.
I am very pleased with redcat its strange they don't make it available to the over seas market they would probably sell a bunch

I would need to see a video of the trx4m without that clunky body, until then it'll always perform less than it should.
The scx24 would also do better without its large body, but at some point we have to decide on performance or looks.
Just bought a few Ascend18 for me and the kids and i think it's great!
Axial will need to bring more to the table now.
I think the trx4m body should have been polycarbonate it doesn't have a interior so don't understand the point of the hard body lol the Ascent is really impressive to me so far

I will say the body on redcat is a big advantage how light it must be.
But that was super impressive.
Especially with custom chasiss and all that brass on em!!

Great job bringing price point into perspective. Redcat is Awesome! I just wish for some aftermarket support for FMS' 1/12 scale product line.
Thank you the problem with fms is they make so many different scales and models it get hard to find upgrades for some of them and have to make your own

As a whole they all crawled about the same. Somme vehicles because of the way they are designed & modded require slightly different lines. My take is the TRX4m came in last, it just didn’t do anything that was impressive. The SCx24 PW came in a close second, which was kind of expected, the Gladiator does pretty well with only a few mods. The star of the show was the Ascent 18 which out performed them all with only wheels & tires for an upgrade. That just shows that all the Ascent needs is some low down weight with a little more front weight bias.

Great vid! The Redcat definitely has the better performance of the 3. I have a highly moded 4m Bronco that I'm a little disappointed in too! I gotta have an Ascent 18. Super cool rig!

I love this type of comparison video, great work man! I was super pumped about the trx4m when they first came out but now I don't know if I will ever pick one up. Between FMS and redcat there killing it lately, always love me some scx24 though.
Yeah the Ascent 18 is awesome and the fms stuff great to so many budget friendly options the big companies are going to have to step up their game and drop their prices lol

When I ordered mine, I went ahead and bought some upgrades along with it so total bill was about $300. Before I add any of the upgrades, I’m going put it up against my FuriTek Fx-118 and see how they do. Those are the only mini crawlers I have and the fx-118 is stock other than aluminum wheels and tires and it’s never been outside at all lol.
Should be interesting.

Well done, Just the video I was looking for. I suspected it was not worth sinking any more money into the scx24. I’m gonna jump into the 1/18 scale asap.

Kool ...I stopped building micro it was great for awhile but after a few 500 dollar builds its just to pricey a 1/10 kit from any big brand is cheaper I still luv my minis but they are wayyyyy to expensive to build ok rants over 😅😊
Interesting comparison. Did a shootout with my modded bronco and the ascent as well. Bronco performed better than the redcat, but not by much. hardbody vs lexan makes a big difference too. Stock vs stock though? hate to say it but the redcat wins every time (except for scale points..hardbodies ftw)

Nice comparison! I need to do some serious scouting to find a primo spot like yours. How do you like those RCAWD portals for the SCX24? The Ascent 18 is exciting. Any time there's a new platform it's exciting. I just got a paycheck...even though the brass upgrades are too $$$ I'm gonna get the inner/outer front portal covers.
I really like the Redcat it does great the upgrades are pricey but just wheels and tires really did a great job

the redcat did do very well, but it was a lexan body and the power wagon is a hard body. I'm not sure if the trx-4m is a hard body
Add $50 in brass portal covers and a brass diff cover on the ascent and I'm running 10 the scale lines I run with my modded ascent 10
I have been trying to convince my friends the redcat was a better buy. you have definitely convinced me even more. he is still not convinced. somehow he still thinks that its a fair comparison to have a stock redcat go up against a trx4m with $600 worth of brass. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 idk how that logic works but good luck to anyone else who still thinks that makes any sense.
No hate or anything, but I don’t see where there is $500 into that 4m.. mine is fully built minus brushless setup, and probably have “only” $300 maybe $400 into it and it wouldn’t struggle this much. Regardless very impressive by the redcat for being near stock. Gonna have to grab me one.
