I left my Shadow 600 parked for 15 days and when I started it yesterday, the same thing happened, fuel leaked in the same way, I turned off the bike and went to check, but I didn't find anything and I didn't know this information either. Thanks for sharing.
Glad I could help
I had the same issue a while back with fuel coming out, was a quick 10 minute fix didn't take the carb completely apart
what did you do? i’m having the same issue in my 2000 honda shadow vlx 600
@@deadbeatdad339 I believe i had rebuilt it.. changed the needle & floats
Any chance you fix my shadow 600 for me
What windshield do you have there?
Great video. I have a '95 VLX600 and it has 2 carbs - what year is this one you are working on? Edit: Never mind you said it at the beginning!
Yeah its a 2001 with a single carburetor for both cylinders.
Very nice video except for your head in the way a few times. Mechanic/Autobody tech 44 yrs. Love motorcycles.
Right on!
When it was not starting at first after you put the carb on what did you adjust to make it start?
Didn't get the pilot circuit cleared completely. This is why it is important to follow the circuits all the way through.
Where did you find the instructions for tuning the carb after you re-installed?
Added the link in the description. Thanks for watching!
