Zach you’re the man! I really appreciate what you do for the computer building community. I used to know nothing, and now I feel fairly confident in what I’m doing and have done a lot of upgrades. I’m finally buying a case to start fresh. Now my biggest question for you is: I’m used to AMD so I’m kind of new to Nvidia. What GPU/CPU build is the best for a $2000 gaming Pc? Also what PC do you offer under $2000 that can handle 1440p?
I’ve used the B550M Pro-VC Wi-Fi before, and it’s a pretty great mobo. I always see it being overshadowed by the B550M Pro-VDH Wi-Fi, which just has less PCIe slots. Glad to see it being recognized.

I got a TUF Gaming B550-Plus WIFI II motherboard when i upgraded from Phenom II to 5th gen Ryzen 5. For the price its a solid board and has onboard WiFi and Bluetooth
i did one of those a couple months ago and i recommend asus prime b450m-a ll (m-atx) with a 2200g, 2x8 corsair vengenence ddr4 ram, 512gb of m.2 storage, fractal design focus g mini for a case and a thermaltake smart 700w power supply. definitely go used for the cpu and motherboard (i got my 2200g for 30 us dollars) and if any other components are worth it for used, definitely go ahead and get them. the total cost was 300-400 and tax and shipping cost was a little over $50
I'd like as much USB and ports I can have while also be able to connect to multiple things wirelessly. Whether Bluetooth or dongle. It's great having a board that does it all.
please try to recommend micro atx motherboards that aren’t as cheap as these. i really dont like being that kind of kb warrior, but i really dont think that it’s worth it for most people to lose out on better motherboard components, such as 802.11ax vs 802.11ac, internal usb 3.0 ports (a and c), and better/more pcie lanes, just to save $30. the two motherboards you listed will most likely not last more than 2 years before being upgraded and ending up in a landfill. as bad as it sounds, its better for boards that cheap to sit on the shelves until the manufacturers recycle them in an ecologically sound manner. there are much better micro atx options for $25-50 more, an amount which for most peoples’ budgets, can be reallocated from money saved for the gpu, an item people overspend on most of the time anyway
I was really thinking of getting a b550-f motherboard but it’s unfortunate that the new amd cpu series has a different socket. I’ll probably end sticking with what I have now and upgrade to am5 in 4-5 years
I've got a Rog Strix B550-I and it does everything I need it to do. 2 M.2 slots for plenty of storage, only 2 RAM slots, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me with today's RAM and 32GB is enough for me. I was able to put it in a decent case that let me do a vertical mount of an RTX 3080 so I didn't have to worry about sag. The only thing I need to upgrade later is to a bigger case with more airflow and room for a larger AIO to dissipate the heat of my Ryzen 7 5800X. Once I get enough money to do that (along with a slightly more powerful PSU to power the bigger AIO and more fans), I can really crank up the settings. But, it's looking good for 1080p gaming and hits more than respectable FPS as it sits.
I have a R7 5700x I'm wondering how much difference there is with a 5800x I use a thermalright FA 120 SE and my CPU temps under load never ever go above 65c. For 37£ I can't sing it's praises enough. The downside is that is is quite beefy but fits in my mid case with about 1cm to spare on my side panel
MSI B550-A Pro. No WiFi, but you shouldn't use WiFi anyways. But you get a good power delivery system, a bunch of USB ports, clean look and two m.2 bays.

Later I will add a GPU and I was looking for a RTX 3060TI minimum (I prefer AMD but now you will know why a RTX), the RX 7600XT new is over budget, and also the 3060TI, but in second hand the 3060TI is around 250k to 300k (and the 3070 is not too far, some are in 300k and others go to 380k so i could end with a 3070 if I get lucky) and AMD I can only find the 5700XT, not even a 6000 series, so I will be going to Nvidia by force. Oh I forgot, the base build is 540k, then the remaining is for the GPU, if you do the calculations is over the 800k budget, but that is for simplify. And the exchange (at least Dolar Blue) is around 1250 (1USD = 1250ARS)

if your needing wifi b550 pro vdh wifi isnt a good option(in my opinion having ran one for a year and a bit) the wifi is absolutly garbage and is unsuable ive had to buy a wifi card (internal) internet runs 1000x better and yes i did install the wifi drivers
Why not the B450M ?
Is a ryzen 5 4500 and a gtx 1070 ti a good combo
