Certainly one of the greatest violinist of the century. His characteristic sound on top of his virtuosity is unique in its softness. Heavenly insipration... Ravel's Tzigane is stunning and his performance of Beethoven's concerto is the most incedibly beautiful I know.
I discovered this Genius...few minutes ago ! His incredible talent makes me wander...Are they simply obeying a Super-Human force ? He seems to play ( in Italian we have a different word for a child play ) effortless as he was...just giving a playful performance
@@luke1835 One-finger trills, same-finger half-step shifts, and other fingering witchcraft is fairly common in viola technique. We also have "microshifts" and their cousin, shiftless shifts.
He is Second to HEIFETZ who is number ONE! Really, you HAVE to hear Heifetz play this piece. Also the orchestra is way too loud, the camera work is horrible, and finally, the set is stupid!
El mejor violinista de los últimos tiempos. Es verdaderamente Divino
This is what literally defines being ahead of your time
Magical!👍👏👏

Simplesmente maravilhoso!!!

I love Philippes playng!
Great Maestro Hirschhorn !
As usua,l one of the best performance of this piece !
"enargia" the ancient Greeks use to say: clarity. Even with Heifetz I did not ever come upon this level of genuin expression. Bravo.
Absolutely phenomenal violinist. Great performance. Thanks a lot from Toronto.
Bravissimo!!!!!
THANKS THANKS
the camera work is so good also!!!
So perfect! So unlucky!
Incredible
Ninguém toda assim hoje em dia!
wow i cant believe i never saw this god what a refreshing sight sound i love his bowing definitely top brass
1:24 does he pivot his third finger back to play the half step lower? I've never seen that technique before. Genius
WOW, nice catch. Only time my finger does that is when I screwed up the intonation and hurt myself
I thought it was common knowledge to make the half step in tune
@@kehwa well its used to tune a single note but I've never seen it used to play two different notes before

🖤
The cameraman must have been holding his drink in his other hand.
Hirschhorn was one of the greatest violinists, but now I'm dizzy.
Thats me
In my opinion best Tzigane played by Maxim Vengerov.
And nobody plays Paganini better than Hirschhorn
@@doddsalfa i didn't compare yet cuz i just discovered this violinist also coming from paganini cadenza. I loved so bad.
This is better.
Ginette Neveu-: unsurpassed. The most powerful Tzigane ever, most beautiful sound, vibrato and interpretation.
