I will say for Suga's MVs you might need little more backstory on him as a person. Everything he was talking about were real struggles.
    - Him on the bike was him doing deliveries as a trainee back in 2012, but he got into an accident which messed up his shoulder (which you guys know about) but he couldn't tell anyone because he thought they would kick him out
    - His mom did have heart surgery, he talked about it a little in the past when it happened but not too much and it is mentioned in another song, i don't remember which
    - His father did have cancer as well

*The things Yoongi talks about in AMYGDALA are actually true.* It's a very personal song and talks about his struggles. There were mentions of his mother's heart surgery, his father's cancer diagnosis, his accident that led him to having an injured shoulder, depression and medicating, and parts that hint towards self-h@rm (whether it's physical/emotional/metaphorical we dont exactly know). I'm extremely proud of him for getting to this stage, where he's able to share his struggles. He's always been doing some of that, but this video is very raw and re-living those memories must be difficult.

all things depicted in the mv happened in real to him. for some context of scenes:
motorcycle crash: yoongi before bts debut (while already a trainee) got into an accident as a delivery driver trying to make ends meet while training for bts. that’s when he first hurt his shoulder. yoongi was too afraid to tell the members or staff he hurt himself because he didn’t want to get kicked out of bts, so he stayed quiet for a long time until staff noticed he couldnt dance properly (yoongi used to be incredible at b-boying, but because of this accident he could not do it anymore ever again). staff took yoongi to the emergency room after confronting him and assuring him his health comes first, and that was when yoongi found out he fractured his shoulder and that it’d never be the same ever again. in 2020, if you noticed yoongi’s absence in some performances and run eps, it was when he finally got surgery after years of pain through therapy he could not handle anymore. to this day, yoongi still suffers a lot of pain because of his shoulder. he is continuously on meds and is doing rehab, but he has gotten better.
scar carving: yoongi has said he dealth with depression. in his song the last, he also implied that he had h///// himself. in this case for the mv tho, it showcases that he’s revealing all of his trauma on full display to us. no one is perfect, and not everyone knows what others are going through. this is his most raw side of himself he could show us in one scene.
second verse scene: here we see a montage of depictions of what he had gone through. being lonely in a basket ball court, running in hospital hallways, taking meds (yoongi has said he has suffered with depression and anxiety and has both ocd and adhd), mother collapsing, everything happening all at once to him
delivery driver yoongi running to couch yoongi: this shows past yoongi running to himself stuck in his own amygdala and trying to free these traumas from his mind so he could move on, but as you saw in the mv, failed to do so. it’s a sad scene to watch, because this shows no one will ever really be free from their past memories. however, the purpose of this song and the lyrics in general were supposed to show that he has faced his traumas and is finally being able to move on. that is why he was able to make this song and mv in the first place. yoongi is better now.
it was a very hard mv as an army to watch, and it was more painful to know that yoongi had to relive those memories to be able to show us this side of him, but i’m glad he did so because that means he was strong enough to do so. yoongi has full trust in us and showed us his rawest thoughts, and i feel absolutely honored to be able to see them myself.

The entire amygdala mv is based off suga's past life struggles.
    - His struggles with anxiety, depression, and sucidial thoughts.. ( that's where the pills came )
    - Before debut suga worked part time as a pizza delivery boy and one day he got into a car accident which lead to his shoulder injury back in 2013. The lyric "My accident I couldn't even mention" means that after his accident he didn't tell anyone about his accident instead he told them that he fell from the stairs because he feared that he will be kicked out of the group due to his injury.
Since then suga has been facing shoulder issues but he kept fighting it and kept on dancing.. however in 2020 during the album "BE" promotions he took a 3 month break and underwent his shoulder surgery
    - AMYGDALA refers to a part in our brain which is responsible for our trauma and our memories related with the trauma.. That's why he refers to being saved as he wants to get out of his amygdala and go far from his dark past memories

♦Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song aside from the title of song. In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even samples excerpts from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here.. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, despair of situation, how he felt or how things were at that time, even when it seemed to even ooze into his dream state.

❣️Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production! Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. So often not being fully taken advantage of, but that comes with being part of a group, that has every single member having so much talent that it’s been so limiting for Jimin, especially him being so selfless, making a point of having others shine before himself. Now the spotlight will be just on him! Though we’ve seen Jimin’s amazingly spectacular, so mesmerizingly outstanding solo performances before. But now, as Jimin himself, mentioned, he’ll indeed be showing the depth of his raw inner self! Jimin has also said that with all the members now exploring & expressing their own individual talent , it will just make BTS that much stronger when they come back together as a group! In an interview Jimin explained: "I tried to express the grand scale of the song and [the ideas of] determination, passion, and overcoming. “Set me free” means setting myself free, so I thought it was important that I be the one to set myself free - not someone else. In the end, I’m the one who has to set myself free. I would say the song has the energy of a light in the darkness. I wanted to express that kind of picture everyone has in their head - a ray of light coming into the darkness is the only thing you can see. If I had to say specific colors, I’d say black and white."

You guys were pretty much on the money for Jimins videos. Set me Free, he mentioned in a vlive, that this is what he aspires to be essentially. Free from everything that can bog you down.
And Like Crazy, in the behind the scenes, he said the director did a good job in using the heat camera and the blurriness of the crowd to show that when you're drunk, you don't see everything well. There is also an exit sign in the club that is shown well. It's being in a deep depression ( the mud) and you're trying to escape life.
The whole album was a journey of his feelings he had in the pandemic.
For Agust D. This is the end of this particular trilogy. It was Daechwita, Haegum and then Amygdala. Amygdala was heart-rending to me, and I can't discuss this without tearing up. He talks more in the vlives about the album amd particular songs.
I hope you guys watch some of their recent vlives.
For Indigo, RM mentioned that he was playing around with sounds and collabs and wanted to try new sounds and voices. The lyrics though was his journey through the pandemic.
    Also has a vlive 😉
You don't have to react to the vlives, it would be cool, but if you can't maybe try to catch them on your own time then.

His album “Face” has the meaning of facing yourself/confronting yourself, so the darker themes you were picking up on were definitely there. Chronologically, Like crazy is first, (in my interpretation:) showing him partying and drinking to mask the pain of loneliness and isolation, which he can never be fully successful at (as seen by the mud leaking through) since he’s always gonna be alone at the end of everything. (Like the whisper said: “Alone again. What’s the point?”) Also interesting fact, the person in the photo on his pants in the bathroom scene is Robert Mapplethorpe, a famous photographer most well-known for documenting the gay male BDSM subculture of New York in the 1960s. Also, Jimin included a lesbian couple dancing together!
Set Me Free is the last song and shows him breaking free from his struggles and overcoming them. He says the album follows his emotions through the pandemic.
There’s so much to say about RM and Agust D too, but I don’t want to type out an essay haha, so I’ll leave it to other commenters! Glad you enjoyed all these songs, we’ve really been getting spoiled with music this past year.

The amygdala mv All this happened to him
Yoongi in the past in 2012 had a car accident while working as a delivery (just like the video) and broke his shoulder and made a surgery in 2020 because he was afraid to tell the company when he was a trainee to not kick him out and then didn’t want to do the surgery because of his group to not disrupt the group’s work he was afraid he didn’t even tell the members for some time+ when he was born his mam did a heart surgery + his dad had a cancer + he faced depression for so long and even thought about kîlling himself and went to a psychologist .. it was hard for him because his family was so poor he had to go to school, work and train at the same time .. he didn’t eat to have money to take the bus
It shows that he made the scar himself, it represents what he went through, yoongi said he meant to show the scar healing in haegeum unlike daechwita .. he said that mean he is okay now and he said agust d is one of his personalities who faced these things, you can see suga tried to kill agust d the personality with the scar in both daechwita and haegeum , he is trying to kill and forget his bad memories that made that person to continue his life .
and he will stop to do songs under agust d again because the scar is healed now but that doesn’t mean the end he said if he found other things to talk about he will do , but now might release things under suga or yoongi
we are proud of him that he didn’t give up

The amygdala's main function is processing fearful and threatening stimuli response. The song is related to a lot of Suga's personal trauma. It's symbolically showing how certain things trigger his trauma and send him running to save the part of him suffering, the part that was trying to warn him but he doesn't realize till it hits him. He's asking his amygdala that has seen so much to save him.
Everything in the video is real. He had an accident as a delivery boy while he was in training for BTS, he didn't tell anyone cuz he didn't want to get cut from the team. He worked and performed with a bad shoulder for 7 years till he got his surgery done in 2020.

So Agust d is represented by the scar. Anytime you see a scar that's yoongis trauma he faced in his life. Its metaphorical. Yoongi said the scar represents self inflicted pain and trauma that comes with experiencing extreme situations in your life.
Amygdala is real but also leans into the fictional and metaphorical agust d universe through the scar.
Rest of the things you see in the amygdala music video are reenactment of real incidents in his life.

Amygdala is based on his true life. When he was trainee he met with an accident, that is the reason he suffers from shoulder injury till now. He was in depression (those were meds for his depression), he even had sucidal thoughts, thats when agust d was born. Young suga is trying to help but his trauma is struck in his brain. Amygdala means a storage in brain where it stores the past trauma, when its triggered brain beats faster. It has lots of details like even camera angle, when he crawls the camera shifts vertically, that shows his life path

❣️Agust’D did this always confronting himself, inner thoughts and feelings, since the very beginning. If you listen or rather read lyrics to songs like Nevermind, or Tomorrow, some part of writing was even pre-debut, and especially songs like The Last from his first mixtape Agust’D. Also So Far Away. Also in his song as Suga First Love he mentions the scooter accident where he injured his shoulder. I suggest you listen or if you have relisten to this as well as other of his songs. But he’s always confronting himself. Many not only same themes being repeated but even same lyrics, Since the first mixtape Agust’D was the first time he really went even deeper, talking about many things that is actually forbidden to in Korean society at least in past, let alone thought or attempting suicide, he put it all out there, back then, even literally breaking down in tears while recording. Don’t know if this is end of Agust’D, but end of being haunted by his past and questioning himself about staying on right paths avoiding possible corruption that at times comes with success. But I believe Agust’D will always be needed because Yoongi even said himself way back, somebody needs to speak up about injustices in the world!

Id say RM is an ambivert not introvert.
Ambivert is someone who falls closer to the middle but can lean to one side depending onnthe situation.
I think depending on the situation RM derives energy and recharges the emotional and mental battery.
Either from at home reading a book or spending time in a museum.
Or with his team in a group event or like at a function seeing friends abd family.
I think RM has a need for both recharges equally depending on he is during a certain time.
Im very similar. I classify myself as an ambivert i can gain energy from recharging on my own as well as seeing my friend's.
I think thats something that helps him understand his members even more as he can empathize their need for certain times of connections or alone times cause he feels both sides of the introvert and extrovert spectrum

I think everyone has explained to you about Yoongi's personal story but a simple version of the MV story that goes with it is in my words is Amygdala is Yoongi true story (he clearly didn't scar himself though) he tried to free himself of the truma but couldn't.
Daechwita was one battle (depression & anxiety ect) he had with himself, at this point he knew it was too late to free himself so he 'battled' himself and won (Note however the version that won had a scar, he's still Agust D).
However he hadn't won the war yet but he'd partial healed as you can see in Haegeum the scar is partial healed, so another battle occurs and once again he kills himself (this time the one that wins doesn't have a scar he's not Agust D he's Suga/Yoongi).
Note this is the end of Yoongi's triliogy of Agust D and he said in the future if he were to release music outside of BTS it maybe under the name Suga (not Agust D).

Guys, PLEASE do some background reading or atleast watch some of their behind the scenes interviews before jumping into their solo works. Jimin, RM and Suga explained what they meant through each song and if you had the backstory of the inspiration, these MVs would have made more sense and you'd have appreciated it better.
The story behind "Still Life: and how RM took his inspiration is fascinating. Set me Free talks of Jimin's past struggles and everything in Amygdala are based on Suga's real-life stories. It's not as shallow as the meaning you'd probably assume it's trying to convey. You would have known this had you done a simple google search *sigh* Please, please do a quick reading before you check out their music.

I think it's better if they listen to it raw because that's how music is supposed to be listened to.
It's great and all if as fans you know exactly what the music means, but as a casual listener the songs are there for you to interpret as you like.
I'll be ironic and say that Suga said this as well for Haegum.

@@marissa1341 It is subjective, I agree but the “they will find out later” part never happens. That’s the sad part. While some music and art are up for interpretation some aren’t which is why the artists even share their inspiration and story behind it especially for a song like Amygdala which he mentioned is based on his life story. Many other reaction channels do put in the effort to read up about it after they first react to it or watch an explanation video. Sometimes a lot is lost and the meaning he’s trying to communicate doesn’t get through especially to non korean speaking crowd. It’s not a language they can naturally interpret. Even translations for some of the korean words he used is tough. So it’s always better to do some reading to understand the setup of their songs in my opinion. Those who do seem to have a much different appreciation to the song and to those who don’t it doesn’t feel that way since they think it’s fictional.
