Many stadiums were renewed so thats why they are looking fancy :D Union Berlin is not in the first division for a long time and the stadium was built or at least made bigger by the fans, which makes it really special! In general I think most stadiums in germany look beautiful, there are many more big and nice looking ones in the second and third division, like the "Volksparkstadion", "Max-Morlock-Stadion", "Betzenberg",....
This is an old picture of the wwk Arena from Augsburg. Now they have an amazing lighting around the Stadium and at night it looks so beautiful. You should check this out😍
Union may have a small stadium but actually 75% of it is standing only, they generate one hell of an atmosphere. Also Hoffenheim is a tiny village, the stadium could fit it’s entire population in it 10 times over. In addition, the reason that so many of these were built/rennovated recently is because we hosted the world cup in 2006, so the stadiums had to be upgraded/new ones built
Keep up the good work these stadiums are awesome m8 - Would love to see a Championship stadiums reaction gotta feeling ur reactions will be so funny with some of the beautiful and absolute dumps of stadiums that we have in the league!

some stadiums are are so tiny for the atmosphere. the game is completely different in these kind of arenas because it is relatively loud with not that much fans and the people are very near to the players. myself i´m living near munich but i traveled around germany to many different stadiums to support my team bayern munich, but its always nice to be in these towns or citys because these arenas have something we in germany call "fußballromantik" (in the most of the world translated as much as "football romantic").
The building years of the stadiums are the dates of first edification. They are modified in later years. Remarcable is that the stadium of Union Berlin was modified partly by the fans of this club for free !
1. Obviously, a lot of stadiums were renovated since they were built. Some even so extensive, they could be considered new stadiums all together. 2. The small stadium at the start belongs to a team, that was propmoted to the first tier for the first time 2019. It's a smaller club with a dedicated fanbase. In fact, when the team had rougher times, the FANS showed up to build a stand that needed to be rebuilt. They organized, got materials, and worked there for their clubs. 3. Germany hosted the World Cups 1974 and 2006. So you can see a lot of stadiums either renovated or built for these events. I'd like to point out Leipzig in particular: It was built for the World Cup, because they wanted one East German stadium for it, and the one in Berlin was in West-Berlin. But choosing Leipzig was controversial, because at that time, Leipzig had no team in I think even the first three tiers, with little hope of changing that (as their best 2 teams were imploding at that moment). It would've made more sense to take the stadium of Dresden instead, which would at least see second tier football on occasion. And if you wanted a first tier club, Rostock and Cottbus would be possible (though neither had the fanbase to hold up a big stadium like that). By now, the Red Bull corporation created a new club and basically bought their way into first tier, inheriting the stadium, putting it to good use for the first time since 2006. 4. Most of these stadiums have sponsorship names, which is somewhat new for Germany (started in the early 2000s, but only slowly picked up stadiums), and extremely unloved. Most fans use the old, "correct" names like "Westfalenstadion" in Dortmund, or "Alm" for Bielefeld. Some sponsors buy the name and then ask ther fans for input, leading to the stadium in Braunschweig be named "Eintracht-Stadion" now. The fans in Nuremberg actually tried to petition the club to name the stadium after club idol Max Morlock, in hopes they wouldn't dare picking up a sponsorship name. The two teams whose sponsorship-names to my nowledge never caused troubles were Schalkes "Veltins-Arena" (the stadium was mostly new, and Veltins was a sponsor for years and years, it just fitted) and Stuttgarts "Mercedes-Benz-Arena", because the stadium was named after one of the founders of Mercedes (Gottlieb Daimler) before. Then again, the stadium was renamed multiple times. Check out the date it was build and guess, who it was named after, when it was finished...
Football stadiums are rebuilt in some places. Also new stadiums are built to replace the old at another location. I’m just waiting for my local team to build a new stadium.
One thing to Hoffenheim, because I am living near to it.. We have hills all around the stadiom were some fans are watching without having to pay so thats why they havent build is as big as they could xD ;)
Schalke (Veltins Arena) can open the dom and take out the matchfield be side the stadium. Dortmund has the biggest stadium and an amazing atmosphaer at "yellow wall / gelbe Wand". A lot of the old stadiums are renovated or exchanghed throu newer ones in the last years. Every stadium has it own atmosphear and its really sad to see them empty. I visited the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund a view times, 2xKöln, 1xHamburg, 1x Frankfurt, 1x Mönchen Gladbach ,1x München, also 2x Tunis, 1x Amsterdam. All nice!
For the first one to keep in mind: The fans built it. I mean literally, the Fans build this stadium for their club with their hands. And it is over 90% standing area without seats ;)

Yeah, like you've gotten beaten up on a little, a lot of these stadiums have gone through some serious renovations. For example, I attended a Springsteen concert at the stadium in Frankfurt back in 1985. And there is no way I can reconcile the difference between the stadium then and now. Similarly, I attended the the two matches played at Stuttgart during Euro 1988. And there is some seating that is definitely the same (or very similar) to what I experienced then, but the rest of the stadium? Yeah, it's essentially new. Now, to bring things full circle, I've attended somewhere in the area of 7-10 matches at the Stuttgart stadium since 2014...and two matches at the Allianz Arena in Munich since 2019. (In fact, I attended matches in February 2020 on back-to-back days in those respective stadiums...Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon, Munich on Sunday afternoon.)
1:48 union doesn't have a very big stadium because this is just their 2nd season in the Bundesliga. They played in thr lower leagues all the time but they do very well in the Bundesliga this season though👌
Please could you take a look at the French Ligue 1 stadiums. Oh, and if you happen to see plans for new stadiums in said division, don't be fooled by Nantes' YelloPark proposal, as it's not being built.
Even clubs from the German third division, like Kaiserslautern, have a better atmosphere. Hamburg, Dresden, Rostock and many other clubs from the second division also have a better atmosphere. I'm not even going to start on the first division with Frankfurt, Dortmund, Union etc. There are reasons why many English people go to Germany, because there is still an atmosphere here. Just for your knowledge, Germany isn’t huge, it’s actually quite small in terms of size, especially for over 80 million people living there. It’s definitely the most urban country in Europe.
They Stadiums are renovated for World Cup. The little Stadiums are little Citys. Hoffenheim, the 3rd ist a village, not a city, an they have 30000 Places In the 2nd League are more Stadiums, of bigger Citys
The craziest thing about it is that Schalke with their crazy stadium is going to play 2nd division next season. They are currently last place. Imagine having a stadium like that but not being able to play in the 1. Bundesliga. That really sucks.
@@maximilianvomasta1623 HSV yes but Schalke has an arena with a roof. A stadium for 60 thousand. HSV has a big stadium but it isn't nearly as modern. what germany offers much more space????? Germany has the second highest population density in europe behind the Netherlands (if you are not counting dwarf-states like Monaco or Vatikan) - Stadiums are renovated often so that the original stadium in this place may be from the 1920s or so but kept in good shape and transfered in the ones we see today.
I love it that you like my club's stadium the most (VfB Stuttgart, Mercedes-Benz-Arena). But please, do some research... most of the older stadiums have undergone multiple renovations. E.g. Mercedes-Benz-Arena opened in 1933 as Adolf-Hitler-Stadium 🤢💩. It had a capacity of about a 100.000 and no roof. The roof came for the athletics world championships in 1993. There was some renovation for the 2006 World Cup and a major renovation in 2011 when finally the athletic track was removed and the stadium got the rectangular shape of modern football fields.
Hoffenheim doesn't even manage to sell out Champions League Matches they do not have as much fans because the team is relatively young in the league because it has been bought
The stadiums that say they were built in the 1900s look so good because they have been renovated and remodeled in the last ten years or so.
Many of these have been renovated before the world cup in 2006.

Hoffenheim is from Sinsheim. The Stadium is huge for a town with a population of just 35000
You have to see the Hamburger SV (HSV) Stadion in the 2 Bundesliga
The Schwarzwald Arena is the old Stadion from Freiburg. Freiburg has a new stadium.
Yes but it is not 100% completed
I think they all were rebuilt but built first time in the year below
Schwarzwald Stadion is in my hometown we have the best panorama look in Germany!!!
Please could you take a look at the French Ligue 1 stadiums. Oh, and if you happen to see plans for new stadiums in said division, don't be fooled by Nantes' YelloPark proposal, as it's not being built.
A insteresting fact is, that the stadium of union berlin is build by the fans
Can you do this please with the German 3 league. You can see a stadium of 1fc kaiserslautern which has 49.500 seats its so pretty
The years when the stadium swerve built are not accurate. Köln used to have another stadium at the same place and just built an new one in 2004
Some of the stadiums were originally build in 1958, 1947, etc., but they were torn down and rebuilt in a modern design. 😉
Pls react to the German HSV Stadium but nice Video it is Cool to See how American Guys Talk about Our Stadiums.nfl Stadium are also very nice
The redbull arena from Leipzig took inspiration from the Estádio do Dragão from FC Porto, they are very similar
Lol sure
HERTHA BSC❤❤❤
Nothing beats pl stadiums like anfield old Trafford villa park elland road st james park the atmosphere is unmatched
Here are a few examples:

Is it me or does the WWK arena look a bit like a supermarket.
Just for your knowledge, Germany isn’t huge, it’s actually quite small in terms of size, especially for over 80 million people living there. It’s definitely the most urban country in Europe.
The population of hoffenheim isn’t even 5k people so a 30k arena is pretty huge for them
Hoffenheim has the smallest fanbase in the Bundesliga by far. They can't even fill up their 30,000 stadium on a regular basis
They Stadiums are renovated for World Cup. The little Stadiums are little Citys.
Hoffenheim, the 3rd ist a village, not a city, an they have 30000 Places
In the 2nd League are more Stadiums, of bigger Citys
The Stadion from Union Berlin got build up / renovated by the fans. Take a closer look at the news about that.
The craziest thing about it is that Schalke with their crazy stadium is going to play 2nd division next season. They are currently last place. Imagine having a stadium like that but not being able to play in the 1. Bundesliga. That really sucks.
Hsv, Nürnberg, Hannover, Kaiserslautern, Dresden and some Others have big nice Stadiums too, and they Play in Second and Third league
@@maximilianvomasta1623 HSV yes but Schalke has an arena with a roof. A stadium for 60 thousand. HSV has a big stadium but it isn't nearly as modern. All the other stadiums got half of the capacity of veltins arena and aren't nearly as modern. It's more like a dome. If you are into American football like the superdome in New Orleans or the new renovated Santiago Bernabeu
Most of the German stadiums were modernized for the World Cup 2006.
Most beautiful stadium in my opinion (just from the looks) is the Old Olympiastadion in Munich
Can you look at 2. Bundesliga Satdiums too please?
what germany offers much more space????? Germany has the second highest population density in europe behind the Netherlands (if you are not counting dwarf-states like Monaco or Vatikan) - Stadiums are renovated often so that the original stadium in this place may be from the 1920s or so but kept in good shape and transfered in the ones we see today.
The BayArena got renovated like most Stadiums, there is only the original build date
You have to see the Volkspark-Stadion
Don't go with the Date of building, those Stadiums where many time ranovated
You do realise when they built the stadium in 1958 it didn't look like that it's been renovated
Hertha BSC is the biggest club of berlin. Union Berlin is just a small club that only played in the Bundesliga for 1 year.
The Schwarz Wald stadium is in the blackwood
The german Bundesliga have the best Fans in Europ with Liverpool.
Not Signal Iduna Park, it's Westfalenstadion
Hoffenheim doesn't even manage to sell out Champions League Matches they do not have as much fans because the team is relatively young in the league because it has been bought
Built in 1958 and 1974 doen't mean that BayArena and Weserstadion hasn't been upgraded and renovated in the last decades.
Most of the old stadiums got probably new roofs and therefore look that new
Bayern Munich stadium is Imo just the most beautiful arena on the world
The Frankfurt Stadium got upgraded now to 60,000 Peoples who sound like 100000ppl when there is a game with fans
Ive been to the allianz arena on a school trip and we got to tour the locker rooms and i even stole a blade of grass lmao
Can you react to Serie A stadiums please?!
The BayArena got expanded in 2009
Come to Berlin and go to a game from Union. U will never be in a other Stadium. This is Our Livingroom.
