She’s 100% the best character on DA and I fell in love with her while watching it. She’s such an amazing actress
I already loved her on "Downton Abbey", but here she's stunning ! And she seems real, being her true self, and being genuine.
It's amazing what a splash of makeup can do for a person.
She is absolutely stunning and her work on DA is next level really. She’s the character I miss the most
Another point about being pale for a period drama, historically it was seen as a sign of status since it was a way of showing that you didn't work outdoors, since most outdoor jobs were peasant jobs
Status yes and beauty standards just were different - well maybe very much because of the status thing
Funny...in my country, there are places where a "plumper" man is more attractive because it means you have money to indulge in food.
@@dugeniadugeniadugeniadugen5266, it used to be the same way in the west, being overweight was a sign of wealth. Now, ironically, it's the opposite. Obesity is more common in poorer areas.
I'm pretty sure that is where the term, "Blue Bloods" comes from. Being so pale that the veins are seen easier through the skin which carry the darker, oxygen depleted blood or "blue blood" back to get oxygenated. Again a form of high status.
No, that’s Indian people. The white were the reverse. The white rich had tans from their travels to warmer climates on holiday, like Greece, Italy, The Caribbean, Egypt, etc. While the servants had pale skin because they were both untraveled and basement-dwelling workers with little exposure to sunlight. Which is why fake tanning is still a thriving, lucrative, and in-demand industry in young Britain today. It’s a status symbol.
She's SO stunning, like what the hell?! Love Jo Fro! 😍😍😍
I know Downton is a show and she plays a character but my mind
"Oh, Anna has a day off."
The character & also the person, so lovely.
I fell in love with Joanne's character in the UK's soap opera Coronation Street back in 1997.
You could see what a talented actress she was then.
I declare war on you!
She's so beautiful on the show and irl. I love her face 😄
I love her Dress, the Pastel Colours, because she is wearing it....
I love the British Accent
Love her and her accent 🖤
I love her. She has such a pretty voice . I was just looking at Michelle Dockerys skin in a love scene, so pretty, perfect porcelain skin.
She's very pretty!
BRONG! She's cute and love her accent!
She hardly has any accent though, it's English...
American is an accent 😉
@@Snaakie83 yeah... we forget that don't we?
what does BRONG mean?
@@Snaakie83 writing from american.
*everyone* has an accent, nitwit.
I live in the commonwealth of pennsylvania, on the east coast.
If i travel to the south, i think they have an accent and they think i have an accent.
If i travel to Massachusetts, we each think the other has an accent.
Craig Ferguson is British, but he has said he can’t understand folks who hail from Scotland.
She is from North Yorkshire which is hundreds of miles North of London. That is why you can understand what she was saying 🧐
Anna, Ms Patmore and Mr Carson are the stars of this show.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 😍
She's a lovely lass from North Yorkshire.
I love her!! She is my favorite ❤❤❤
I personally will always think of her as Kate from bbc Robin Hood first
I miss Downton Abbey!
Me too. Though The Gilded Age does scratch the itch.
well there are still the movies.
I've never met Abbey and I never go downtown. 🥺
Loved her in Downton Abby
"Thanks mom!" 😄
My most beloved Anna omg ❤️
Great actress and beautiful too. 🙂
"thanks mom" 😂😂😂
She'll always be Dinnerladies and Bad Girls to me 🙌
And Corrie and The Royle Family 😊
She and Master Bates make a great couple.
The best power couple in the history of TV shows IMO.
I just started watching the series this week… Thanks a lot for the spoiler. :(
@@tcschenks I think once a show has been out for a decade, reading spoilers in RUclips comments is your own fault 😄
@@tcschenks if you're watching a show, why the hell are you reading comments on RUclips? That's literally the dumbest thing a person who's trying to avoid spoilers could do.
Joanne is Stunning.
My goodness she’s gorgeous!
She’s the only reason I watched it beyond the first episode.
Don't believe you.

@@davidhull1481 i LOVE that expression, can i use it?
@@robertandhollyscorpiofan2697 Absolutely! It was a favorite of my dead sister Renee, and I would love it if it passed on ( no pun intended).
@@davidhull1481 thank you!
Yes, some of the expressions i use were passed down (no pun intended) from long-dead relatives.
My condolences for your sister Renee, i hope everyone is at peace.
I've only ever seen her in a docudrama as Myra Hindley's sister. That was very good- but it's quite arduous viewing at times, as anyone familiar with the Brady-Hindley cases in 1960s Manchester will know. Unfortunately, Brady was a psychopathic, perverted murderer- and he pulled his girlfriend/ fiancée down with him. As ever with these cases, she ended up having a harder time of it than he did- although she too was guilty of some seriously evil acts.
tiny and adorable
Wilder + HP = another set of great sequencing events for many sequencers. What is the measurement of the unit milligram? LOL
MOHAMMED GEEDI: 00:00 to 02:32
I can imagine Joanne Froggatt and Sarah Harland as the brand new UK voices for Lady Jane Hatt, Bridget Amanda Hatt and the female humans of Thomas the Tank Engine.
dear laddy pls jois join our baptising ritual in the UK
Didn't even recognize her.
Same. I was trying to figure out which character she was until she spoke :)
I was so accustomed to the “period” makeup that the first time i saw Sophie McShera being interviewed, i didn’t recognize her at first because of the “modern” makeup!
Nice young woman.
Nice to see a lovely lady instead of the Hollywood type.
Ms Bates
Anna...yum yum yum
💗:)
Who doesn’t love Joanne Froggart??! X
Crass comment
i thought the title meant she couldnt get tan on her private parts (downtown abbey).. im so stupid not to realize the real meaning of this title :D
