- Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and his top brass are about to brief the on the discovery of a suspected illegal military training base located on a farm in White River in Mpumalanga.
95 Libyan nationals have been taken in for questioning after police and Home Affairs officials raided the base.

I wonder if that money has been looted knowing the character of the caders? Perhaps they came to train but secretly they were gathering Intel to ascertain the location of those funds.
What happens if those funds have been looted? Is this political elite class simply going to raise taxes to payback the money to cover their tracks. The internal faction fighting is building pressure, looking forward to the day when this bunch is exposed and really punished.

Explain the illegality? Their website clearly states that they offer security and paramilitary training, they even advertise that if u wanna join the French foreign legions they offer training. The 95 Libyans applied visas on the basis that they would come to South Africa to do a security training with the security company they were in touch with. This is not illegal. And certainly they paid for it. This is also not illegal. If the security company was not fully accredited for the service it was providing or if the level of training was a bit higher that the level it was accredited for and that it was a crime doing so, then the authorities should have arrest the owner of the security company first, not the libyans first and leave the owner of the company walking free, because the Libyans were only receiving training, the sec company was giving them the training. The minister is strugling to give clear answers. No coherence.

Where did they obtain all the equipment including ammunition? Why was our intelligence service not aware of their presence for FOUR MONTHS? Did ex minister of foreign affairs Mrs Pandor enter into any agreement with the Libyan government? Why were reports of the criminal activities of these illegal individuals not investigated IN SPITE OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY informing the police?Are there similar camps in other parts of the country?Is South Africa being partisan in some internal conflict? These and I'm sure many such questions need to be answered.

Why a deputy minister is there if "there are investigations"...they dont say what crime...Why a Police Commissioner is there? if it is only investigations just a Constable is enough. What crimes are investigating? What case will be opened? Are mercenaries been trained in ZA? What kind of Visa they got? Study? Work? Turism? Who approved those visas and why?
