Idk if he cant comprehend what hes even done, even hurtful to his cousin, i finally told him i loved him but he shot me down, that was ok tho but things he said was harsh. Guess im to sick for him. Im so sorry ive cried since monday. Never pray for patience tho. Caz you will get everything slammed at you. Ive prayed to get closer to him and search out my heart but to know him better. Here lately im not even sure wat to say n tell the lord thank u and pray for others. I live by myself. I talk to him all thru out the day but this put me crying and screaming to just take me home. This lonliness is killing me. Now i comprehend why my friend killed himself. My life such a mess. I love my lord. Plz pray 4 me. I know others are worse than me tho
Your statement at 35 minutes I'm sure is true for many. As for me, I seem to call on the Lord first. 3 very powerful experiences in my life attest to this. First a workplace shooting, 8 dead 15 injured, I stayed in the building helping the wounded and asking for the Lords help. I was the only one who did so. Next an armed robbery, 2 gunmen, a young 16 year old girl on the floor next to me, who did I call, the Lord, asking him to protect that beautiful young girl who was crying and begging for her life. Last , my wife's death. I came home and found her, I said Lord what do I do? That small still voice said call 911 and report it

I know I am a week late but this is exactly what I need today as our family found out our season of doubt has been extended....the light at the end of our tunnel has been snuffed out. We can't continue on this path forever so waiting on God is tough. But I do feel the changes in me. I just feel ready for a break. If I break down over my problems how could I face persecution? Not saying persecution is coming in my lifetime (it might, it might not) but we are called to be content in all situations. I am not. Hence my pain. I am reading Psalm in my own devotions and read 74 a few days back. Seemed good timing then but this is more perfect now.
31:37 my grandmother told me to never pray for patience because God will give you plenty of practice! LOL She is a godly woman who has endured horrific things and came out smiling and faithful to God so please understand she was being tongue in cheek
Thanks Pastor JD. I thought that Asaph who wrote many of the Psalms was the Asaph who was David's worship leader over the Ark of the Covenant. If so, could these Psalms have been prophetic about a time several hundred years later when the Babylonians came? In 2 Chronicles 29:30, this Asaph is called a seer. It also mentioned that he was a songwriter because he and his group sang psalms written by David and Asaph. What do you think?
Common christian response to a friend in need... "Let's pray for it.". Maybe because prayer is the easiest and most economical thing to offer. This is not to diminish the power of prayer, coz really all those who believe in God need prayers and to pray. But in parallel to Job's friends, Christians need to learn when is it proper to offer prayers of help, versus, providing actual physical help. Christians need to learn when is the time to pray or to act. If your brother or sister is out of job for a long time, instead of just praying for that person (especially if you are employed), wouldn't it be better to just get this person's CV and recommend this person to your boss so he/she can be hired. Then, you enjoin your friend to pray for a successful application.
Truly no man can come down from heaven but that which was in heaven. Just as the son of man gave his life as a ransom for many... (-Jesus of Nazareth on rebirth) By that first argument time is not linear in the conventional sense. By that second argument it is possible for someone to have been reborn long after Jesus of Nazareth, say 1500-2500 ad. but still before Jesus. By that next argument there would still be sinners on the world when the second coming happen. And by that argument anyone who tried to do to little would be punished, and too much paradox-ed. For the life of man shall be ... or my feat of strength .... (-the bible) Or by too much strength... paradoxed (Cough joan of arc). O God why have you rejected us forever? (-Psalms 74-1) I am sorry children but if you were in a timeless state thousands of years before the second coming it would been almost eternity for the right person got the right experiences.
