In my opinion, the f900r is a good beginner motorcycle...its very humble, not jumpy and smooth.

I bought my 2023 for $9,400 with the additional parts 6 year warranty. Love the bike so far; it’s much quicker than I would’ve imagined, and I love that it’s not made in Taiwan 😂

I'm interested in buying an f900r but I heard the engine is made in China or taiwan.. does the motorcycle have a placard saying where it was built?

Engines are made in Loncin China in partnership with BMW. Then shipped to BMW Germany. They are a good reliable engine. Bike is assembled in Germany.

Everywhere except the US, including Canada, this bike is rated at 105hp. Something about fuel ratings.

I have noticed! Some comments tell me my Hp numbers are inaccurate even though I get them from BMW USA website. Has to be something about emissions perhaps restricting the bike.

It’s definitely one of the best naked bikes I have tested (evident from my Emi score)

Hey guys. This motorcycle has been on my shortlist for a while now. For the ones already having this model, I only have one question which I could not find an exact answer to: If you connect your phone to the screen, are you able to pull the maps/navigation on the bike screen? (I see people mentioning it in the videos, but never seen them showing if it works properly)

      Yes, through the bmw app.

Nice review, I enjoyed it. I am thinking about this bike right now. Not sure that the Z900 comparison is quite right. It is cheaper where I live than the BMW with the options. The Z900SE is closer in cost and it has better suspension. However neither would be the most common comparison. Many would look at the MT09, which has more features than the Z900, similar HP and a way more punchy engine and sharper handling. A way more exciting bike. Or the KTM Duke 890. Possibly the smaller but sporty Street Triple R. Then there is the GSX S1000 naked. Dumb dash but smoother quick shifter than the BMW and way more power than the Z900. Same prices as the fully speced BMW where I live. So good review and interesting but not really a BMW vs Japan comparison. I suspect you will keep test riding!

@@paulconnell1309 thanks for watching! Check out the MT09 video where I compare it to a few other Japanese bikes! (Also I reviewed the Z900SE check that out too!)

Is the quick shifter clunky? I have seen some reviews of the 2021/2022 models that said it was really clunky compared to the competition. I'm hoping they have improved it.

    • @emadreviews
      @emadreviews  Год назад +2

It’s not as smooth as Kawasaki for example, but it gets the job done.

@PleniKreti-jd4kf Do you ever get false neutrals or anything like that?

I have a 2021 with 6k miles. The quick shifter was very clunky in first and second. After my 1 year service I had it adjusted and now it as smooth as any quick shifter.

Nice review. I have bought one as a commuter, they handle brilliant on the ones I took out.
As for the quickshifter ,even on my hp2 sport since 08 they are clunky, to be fair if used how they supposed to be,thrashing to redline on a track, they are great, as for round town or low speeds ,why even use.
Tft is the best out the manufacturers.
Performance is enough for the roads .
They race them don't they, so that's a great test for reliability.
      Good all round package.
