Very nice review! Look forward to your experience with different opamps ( and not only the expensive Sparkos, Bursons etc., but also afordable opamps from AliExpress- I think thousends audiophiles are waiting for such a comparisation). Thanks in advance!
OK, the big question missing from this review - how's the sound - why not describe it? Lots of nice new gear out there, but without any type of explanation on how they all sound, what's the use?
Are you planning to review how different op amps affect the sound quality? Given the access window I think a lot of people will be buying this intending to swap them.
@@superspeeder I’ve already done one comparing MuzgAudio discrete opamps with the stock ones. There’s a link to it in the video description. I’ll be doing some more soon.
And my favorite review so far! By you, and of this amp both. Some (ahem old guy) reviewer missed the total point of this amp: the high pass filter. Which is very useful to unburden small speakers from heavy bass duty. This results in more headroom and a lot less distortion. Also most of the "300W" you can get with a bigger 48V 5A or 10A PS is wasted in that bass region. If you filter
The LED´s are necessary to get the feeling of disco events like John Travolta, great review of china disco machine. thank you Greg you are not Normcore
@@NormcoreGreg Thankfully so. At this pricepoint I personally would rather see the money and time spent on better components, not RGB lights. Its probably not a huge cost but at this pricepoint its a non-negligible % of the total, just to add this gimmick. But youre right, I should just ignore because its still cheap for what you get, this sort of thing is a bit a pet peeve. It is an interesting little amp though, thanks for bringing it to my attention
High pass filter and Sub out! Very important and good,, 👍🌟👍 How many op-amp is needed for one Douk Audio A5? Good review,, 🥰. Thank you kindly, Greg,,✨🙏✨ Cheers from Sweden,, 🍻😎👍
I agree this is a great amplifier with the glass top for op amp rolling. Great review, Greg.
Thank you :)

@@janleewering-q4g will do! More so that I can’t afford the expensive ones :)
I think it is a great little unit. Good video my friend.
Thank you Ed!

Thanks for taking the time to post your comment. Yes, the SXs were very cheap - ca. $25 for a pair with free shipping on Aliexpress.
Excellent video, greetings from Greece 👍🇬🇷, will buy it for 2.1 system!
Thanks and greetings from 🇵🇱
Is that an SX52B op amp I see there? Would love to get your feedback on that one in amps as well as your ZD3 DAC! 😊
@@superspeeder yes, it is. Good eye! I’ll be reviewing them soon.
@ looking forward to your feedback, thanks!

Hi "Greg"... more like Sven
I didn’t get it, but… thanks?
It sounded cool until you talked about the LED lights that have their own dip switches to control them. No, china. Just no.
Good thing is you can switch the LEDs off completely.
