Started this at work, turned it off because it grabbed my attention right away. Definitely a nighttime (nightmare) read. Another great story, how they do it is preternatural but i’m not complaining
•Like a head vampire. °"Call me Legion; for we are many." •All things are prone to decay. "Damn curtain...!" •This story shows beautifully, the nature of human race. Especially masses. •Yes... I remember I heard it before. I liked it. I like'em both, actually.
The narrator got out. The narrator thought only Warren could reply to him on the radio they were using. There is a racist or eugenicist undertone somewhere but at least Lovecraft died before a combo of corrected science and Hitler meant we had to put him further in the “they knew what they were saying” section of the Venn diagram than he is now (…I have a History degree, a visible physical disability that my mom had from birth and her dad from middle age… late childhood for me… several chronic illnesses and am Autistic so am unusually aware of certain underlying themes)
No Evil is willing too do what needs to be done to win , lie , cheat , steal , murder and destroy the evidence/ invert the facts and use the spoils to maintain a status quo. Secondly, you may be mistaking good with willful ignorance and stoic apathy based upon demoralized conditioning? But that is an assumption based upon your brief statement.
Agh... my first love, vampires.💔🧛🏻🥀 Out of all the horrorbabble vampire tales, my personal fav is "The Family of the Vourdalak" by Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy bc it's a true lover boy masterpiece lol Plus who doesn't love family drama, wooden stakes, and a forbidden love story?!🧛🏻 🩷
Anyone else 'met' these many times in Call of Cthulhu, but never yet heard the source? Edit: it's very B Movie, very thin characters, hard to invest in. Fun, but not to my taste right now.

The opening of this story reminds me of Colin Wilson's Space Vampires, later a movie called Lifeforce.
I was just going to comment saying that.
