Good one mate. My favorite time of the year. I told my fiancé it’s almost time for the Christmas ghost stories and she looked at me like I was mental. I’m a huge fan and love your holiday releases. Keep em coming
What a great little story. The last few I could not help but notice come from some very familiar Massachusetts towns. But again, my hometown town of Innsmouth is ignored for some unknown reason.
This story is great. Man becomes warlock. Man does not want to be warlock. Man saves little girl in selfless act. Man reflects: "I need to get out more."
3" tall tiny shriveled human barrock with pointed ears and a thin hairy tails burrowing into ppls chest was NOT on my 2024 December bingo list! Lol🫣 Another great addition to the HB collection Ian! However, I must mention I am gleefully awaiting any new additions to the Fantasy Babble channel & the Van Melsen PI series. I appreciate the TL updates on Patreon bc the suspense has been driving me crazy lol Ik you've been diligently working away on everything but pls know I'm patiently looking fwd! 🫶🏽
Some of your, obvious knowledgeof English language and literature, suprises me, everytime you mention leapt, it is pronounced leptsince my strokes, i cant remember in what context. But leaped is not the way. Lept is the spelling i believe, or leapt. Not leapt. No such word.
@HorrorBabble I apologise if I'm wrong, but was always taught leapt. Eldsterism is probably wrong nowadays? I just had to mention it. Love your readings and the stories non the less! Thanks.
No need to apologise, David, it's just as likely that I'm wrong! Sometimes it's hard to keep track of how you're supposed to say things when you're putting a voice on, and, especially so when you're dealing with worldwide tales from different eras.
Good story; even better how it comes to life as you tell it. Thanks Ian
My mushrooms and creeping thyme approve of this works title for sure 🍄
They are much enjoying this one..

Me too.

I usually avoid the short stories, glad I didn't skip this one. Just wonderful, well done!
So much goodness to listen to. It's also nice that we get to listen to older recordings that may have been missed or forgotten. Thanks Ian!
Always excited for a new Horror 😮
I think that was the only happy ending I've ever heard on HorrorBabble 😅😅
That house in this video's thumbnail looks like my old family's house -- no ghosts -- just lots of mice.
I'll take ghosts. They don't carry diseases.
I remember reading this some time before watching "Small Soldiers"
They both creeped me out
I LOVED this quirky tale-and your exceptional rendering of it ❤
Truly a spiritual warfare story with a hopeful ending. Love it. There's no better narration anywhere!
Oooh, the old theme! I love checking in on Warren, but nothing beats the creepy typewriter intro in my opinion. It sets the mood right.
Fantastic many thanks as always good sir!

That was great!
A truly absurd and darkly funny story, very entertaining.
Very nice story.

That's why I wouldn't trust a familiar that talks. Plus it didn't need to called, friendly strangers with smiling faces are uh, not very friendly.
A happy ending.
Remind me of the Thing in "It Grows on You"
The Donald Wandrei stories on here are so freaking cool, as are the Frank Belknap Long tales.

I wonder what real witches think of this story?

Wait! Is Warren dead, or not?

Not leapt. No such word.
The spelling in the story is 'leaped', and so, in American English, the pronunciation is 'leeped'. Or so I've read...
@HorrorBabble I apologise if I'm wrong, but was always taught leapt.
