Does anyone else see the faint apparition of a skull in the sky with the moon where its nose should be? I wonder if "The Sea Witch" by Nictzin Dyalhis would be good for a Horror Babble reading?
Time to relax and you have been generous enough to have a show ready! I'm off to make some popcorn, then pick out some good seats! Thank you for your videos!
That's funny, I was about to say I can't believe I've randomly found a HB story I haven't heard before. The reuploads by most of my favorite RUclips channels have been a little crazy for a while now so I don't fully expect it to be something new anymore but then again most people aren't as ravenous as me, I loved this new story. I think I've requested it before but It'd be cool if you covered Blackwood's Max Hensig. It's about a German serial killer with a grudge against an English reporter in NYC and an epic thanks for all you do and for introducing me to all these great authors.
Just to note: 5 of the collections released over the last 2 weeks kicked off with a new recording! Plus several standalone new recordings. Tried to keep things balanced.
@HorrorBabble Hell, I can't believe I missed that. I must've just seen that they were compilations and assumed they were comprised of old ones. Sorry about that, I've made a fool of myself. I feel like a dick for missing those but I wasn't really talking about you, I had a bunch of channels on my mind. I won't try to explain how much I appreciate these, it's a lot though.
Ah, yes - the 90s of the last century... The Talking Heads and Motörhead were well established, Radiohead was on the rise, and Portishead was just coming into being
You fool! What have you done with Warren? Me? Nothing. I haven't touched him, I swear! He's been like this for quite some time. Warren? Warren? Ooh, no …
Please don't comment on the ending of stories. You've just diminished its 'unexpectedness' for many future listeners -- certainly for me, and I can't imagine that I'm the only one with this sensibility.
Being a native speaker of German I immediately checked out the original story. Does anyone know whether it was a common practice back in the Weird Tales days to simply translate a story from another language?
Very touching story
I feel so spoiled with all these great stories! ❤️🌲

Damn it Warren. You promised to be careful this time😠
Very good.
Lovely! I do wonder why it is considered a work by Temple, and not a translation by Temple.
I went with the Weird Tales bumf, which I have to agree is a little odd.
Head in the window, a head on the door, bloody heads everywhere!
I remember the 90s of the last century, let me tell you so many nights with so many floating heads...Good times

@AC-AC 😆 🤣 😂
You fool! What have you done with Warren?
Me? Nothing. I haven't touched him, I swear! He's been like this for quite some time. Warren? Warren? Ooh, no …
To be fair, it was Warren's own decision to go down the stairwell in that ancient crypt.
derp
Looks like the south of France cool.
Just a head ?
Different.
Hi Horrorbabble - what's the name of that painting please?
Yo, this is Warren. I’m ok. Rumors of my passing have been greatly exaggerated.
😮
[*Spoiler Warning*]
Love the surprisingly wholesome and unexpected ending.

@@josephdixon You should not be reading comments before finishing the story.

It was an occasional thing I think. I’d be interested to know how much this translation differs from the original text.
@HorrorBabble Same here! I'm trying to get a hold of it (not as easy as I had hoped) and compare the two
It's a bit like a 'harp' tuning... that scale.🤔
Hmmm... An aspiring, historically significant painter... That could be anyone, Anne Frankly I don't like where that goes.
I wonder what you'd do if you actually made Cthulu look away while blushing
I doubt humans xould do it
She's cute though
So much emotion can be conveyed with numerous facial tentacles. Humans don't really understand
