    What a super cool adventure. Flew in and out of Midway a lot for my PPL. Look forward to heading my way up to Tennessee one of these days.

    Love the footage. I just bought me a C150J. Upgraded the avionics and few other things. Should be ready to fly next week. Really looking forward to that. Last week I flew the family 1400 NM from IL to AR then Austin Texas. Ate a ton of amazing bbq. On the return we landed in Shreveport for some great Cajun food then dinner in Memphis before heading back to IL. I love aviation and so humbled that we're this blessed to do these things.

    Fantastic trip in the 150! I have yet to take a cross country longer than 500nm in my little bird. Happy New Year!

    Great representation of a fun cross country in a C150. Low and slow and a lot of fun. You get to see places very few people do and the people you meet at the airports are usually great too! Looking forward to seeing more!

    Loved this video, as always, Ty. I wish we would have mogas here at VJI but I’ve been using the TCP fuel additive to help stave off fouling with 100LL seems to be working pretty good. Although, cannot bring the can inside the cabin as it is hazardous. Looking forward to the next part of your journey. We will be gearing up our 150 N4389U for a trip to Smith Mountain Lake hopefully in the next few weekends weather permitting. Then, hopefully stop in to MOR to see y’all!

      I use TCP whenever I fill with 100LL. I carry it in a wrapping, not much more hazardous then a can of fuel IMHO. Look forward to meeting you and hope to hear an update on the flight to Smith Mountain!

    Glad you enjoyed your gas stop at 01M, Tishomingo County airport. It’s unusual, but, Tishomingo County has 2 airports. Tishomingo County airport in Belmont Ms. And Iuka airport (15M) in Iuka Ms. Probably due to some home town politics back in the day. 😏 I manage Iuka airport but still proud of both airports. I know the video was uploaded after your trip but feel free to stop by, with Belmont or Iuka, if you’re ever back in our area.

    Really liked the explanations and talking through reasons for this and that. Also, Tishomingo is most known for Pickwick Lake...major olace for Memphians to go during the summer. :) Thanks!

    BP actually advises NOT to use mogas for aviation fuel. From the BP website "Mogas regulations may also allow the use of oxygenated fuel components which can be a potential hazard to aviation." They go on to say that it can contain ethanol which can cause corrosion in the fuel systems.

    I'm a student pilot. Why do you like mogas?

    • @djquick
      @djquick Год назад +1

      It’s better for the engine. No lead to foul plugs and cake onto pistons.

      I dont stick valves, rings, and foul out plugs. These ol engines were not built for the 100LL common today
