- This is Pat's 1940 ford bubble coupe. It's a 5/8th scale legends car that's been outfitted to drift. It's powered by a zx14 engine so it's around 200-205hp. It has an asd handbrake to assist in extending a drift. It weighs around 1000lbs and has an angle mod.
Mike Hahnen and Simba Nyemba pilot Pat's drift kart around USAir Motorsports track in Shawano, Wisconsin during ClubFR Drift Day 75, I think.
After seeing the Adam LZ video i had to see sum more of this, future of the sport of drifting 🫀
Nah. Nice ones are $10k+, and that's before doing any kind of drift related modifications. For that kind of time and money, just buy an actual drift car.
@@trevor4533nice chassis sell for $3500....running 1250 cars in good shape are sub $8k...cant even touch a 240sx for that cheap with the same power to weight ratio

@@trevor4533 ready to run nice ones can be had under 10k.. mods shouldn't cost a ton, and then they'd be dirt cheap to run.... tires would be way cheaper, parts are dirt cheap... full roll cage and seat and everything...
These things are fast around a track lol they race them in Connecticut sometimes. the stock ones cost like 7k and they sound so good lol
This is a replica, and I think this kit has been French made or invented if i'm not mistaken.
These are built by US legend cars. They are 5/8 scale racecars that normally race ovals and road courses. There may be other chassis manufacturers but they won't pass tech to race officially. They might run other engines at local races but not officially. They race them in other countries but as far as I know they still use legend cars but occasionally a Euro/Asian fiberglass shell instead of the 1934 and 1937 Ford and Chevy shells the US uses. The best hidden secret about them is that they can be made street legal in the US! I think this was a 37 Ford body but they look pretty similiar and I'm not rewinding. Its also the first time I've seen someone take one drifting. Looks fun but I bet the ZX14 is a bit more powerful than a mt09. But I'm about the look it up lol

I have been drifting for over a decade and always wanted to try with one of these. How did the clutch hold up ? I think it be fun to do roundy round things and drift it to!

@@lukeyarbrough8819 No worries! We actually own a legends car too lol, we're more interested in the exact details on the engine swap. INEX Legends don't run these motors and it's a custom done swap

Hey im building a legends for road course racing with a 2006 gsxr 1000 the only thing i have left is the exhaust do you have any recommendations . Great driving hope i can be half as good.
