The way Louis elegantly clocked the slight resemblance between Matt Rife and Cillian Murphy is so hilarious and out of pocket and is the reason why I love this show
I am genuinely curious what will happen to Barbie over the award season. I think most in Hollywood are probably a little closer to Louis' opinion than the general public, but it was such a big movie and the Oscars in particular has been making a bigger push in recent year to try and win over the "public" as the critical choices and popular films have diverged more and more in the last 20 years.
If this were the Oscars, I think most of if not all of Louis's choices would win. BUT... the Globes do always throw unexpected curveballs, so they're harder to predict.
I may be one of the few people who wasn't that impressed by the Barbie movie. I think the set design deserves some recognition, though. Loved Jennifer L. in "No Hard Feelings". Also, Paul Giamotti deserves a Globe. Charles Melton was understated, which is probably more difficult than we think. I would also choose Annette Bening for Nyad. I loved her portrayal. That said, there is no best and I don't really agree with award shows in general.
I ended up seeing Wonka but was really interested in it and didn’t have much expectation re: it. I thought TC performance was amazing, only just slightly upstaged by Olivia and rest recast of the villain. Overall, very well done and all performances were excellent. Nice to be pleasantly surprised from a movie.
Poor Things was so aesthetically pleasing every scene didn’t disappoint, costumes fantastic story line held my interest and was wild. I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t turn into a cult film.
Why do people keep mentioning star power when it comes to Bradley Cooper. Cillian just led a near billion dollar biopic and is the talk of the town right now. I think if Brad wins, it will be because 6 preferred a more showier performance.
I feel both Margot and Ryan gave some of the best performances of the year. Margot was the heart of the film while Ryan was the joy they are both equally deserving of recognition.

Gosling achieved a lot in that roll. Sing, dance, act....
Nothing can change that
YAYYYY! What a Happy New Year surprise!
Maybe in the future when listing the acting categories you also include what the movie is. Ira did it on his end but Louis didn't at all. :)
When Aaron Taylor Johnson in Nocturnal Animals gets brought up 😂
"That's the Way it Is" is the BEST Celine Dion song.
What ....Celine Song....

Team Louis for the Christopher Nolan picks but Team Ira for Lily G. And Brad C. picks. “You’re tearing me apart!!!l 😊
I am with Team Ira only because of his faith in Past Lives, my favourite film of 2023.
Agreed!
Yay for this episode!! I was starting to go through KeepIt withdrawal!!🎉🎉
Team Lewra! 😂😂😂😂
Sandra Hüller does deserve the Oscar but Lily Gladstone is winning most of the critics awards so she will probably win.
If Ira even got half of these correct it would be a crazy Golden Globes night
"Elan and Gusto." Let's go with "old-timey words for film critics" for 500, Louis.

Love the points, but man did they not do great in some of their picks lol!

Bs. Ryan Gosling is a top choice.
