Emissive lights are also great for fantasy scenes, for things like candles and torches, magic spells and the like. Little orbs as fairy glows, combine it with fog props to produce some god rays shining through a window, etc. They're especially great with fog props and the like, add such a lovely, eerie element to a scene!

Followed your links and purchased the models then followed your instructions to create the scene, however, I positioned and angled the spotlight close to the height of the ceiling leds so the light source is coming down from above her and not from the side as it is in yours which to me created a more convincing shadow effect on her. Hey there - there's no reliable way in Daz to solve that problem. The way I solve it - although it takes a little longer rendering time - is to render the image with the fur / hair poking through the clothing and then hide the fur / hair in Daz and do a spot render (ruclips.net/video/L1OgH-yS2VM/видео.html) to re-render the area of the clothing now free from hair .. and then combine the two images in photoshop,

As always, a great tutorial. When you install a scene with cameras and lights, how do you get the lights to work? When you install a scene with just cameras, I will assume I have to add the lights?
Thanks for watching. Yeah, when you load up a scene and there's just cameras then you'll need to add your own lights - although - with some scenes they might come with not-so-obvious lights already .. like emissives. They won't show in the scene tab - they'll just be in-scene already and will only show when you go with a preview shot or a full render. When there are lights in scene .. point or spot lights .. then they should just work straight out of the box. If not - check on your Render tab for "Environment Mode" and make sure it's set to "Dome and Scene" or "Scene Only" .. Point and Spot lights will only show in one of those two modes. If you have any more questions - just drop them here and I'll do my best to answer!
Question. If you have a moon and you want it emmisive red but vague (vampire mood). Lessening the emissive is not really the effect i would like to see. What can i do more? Thank you.
Let me see if we're thinking the same .. You're wanting a red moon? With an emissive light lighting the scene (red?) .. but - when using an emissive at high enough value to light the scene washes the details of the moon which you want to keep and show in your image. If so .. and I might be answering a question you're not asking here .. Hehe .. then how does this sound .. There's no real way of doing it in one shot .. You'll have to render your image with the moon at high enough emission to light the scene .. but then spot render (ruclips.net/video/L1OgH-yS2VM/видео.html) the moon only with the emissive value turned down to a level where you keep the details of the moon .. and then combine the two images in a paint package .. Hopefully, that's what you're wanting .. but if not - let me know a few more details and I'll try again!
@@RaukoDaz3D Thank you for thinking with me! As I have it now: 1 moon real with red material (vampiric render). 2nd moon copy, dark red emissive placed behind the real moon 1. Hi. I have an insisting question ( though it is out of the subject ). How to apply a ready-made daz pose between two persons ( such as a mother and her daughter ) in the actual work on DAZ Studio? I searched much in Google and RUclips but didn't find any answer. I made such project but the mother and her daughter made the same pose. So I have to correct the pose of one of them manually. I hope you have the answer and sorry for prolonging. Thanks
So it's a pose for couples? If so - there should be 2 versions of the same pose named slightly different (like "A" and "B" .. or "Male" and "Female"). So you might have a pose like : "Couple Pose 01 A" and another "Couple Pose 01 B" - Apply "A" to one character and "B" to the other character. But you'll have to work it out by looking at the names. Sometimes the color of the people in the Icon for the pose are different - So it might show the pose "A" and one of the figures is colored white and the other grey and that pose will apply the "white" pose to your selected character then find the complimentary pose "B" where the other character will be white and apply that to the other character. That's how they usually work - they'll be a pose file for EACH character with someway to determine which of the two characters each pose is for .. whether in the name or the coloring.
@@RaukoDaz3D Thank you for your detailed response and your patience in explaining. Your explanation made me understand the idea well, and I applied it and it will appear in my next work. Thanks.

The difference you'd notice would be huge .. you'd go from a scene taking hours to render to taking 10s of minutes .. add into that the 12gb Vram you'd have with the 4070 S- you're scenes can also be bigger and more complex too. For Daz - always get the fastest / biggest graphics card you can afford - if that's the 4070 S for you - the jump will be big.
