Nir seems like as good a teacher as a player. I have a friend who plays with him so I've been listening for over ten years. He's deep but he does a banging job of demystifying the elements into plain talk and good common music sense. It's great to hear a conversation finally. For teachers like me this is gold.
At this point I don't even come to this show for the playing anymore, especially ever since I saw the episode with Wayne Krantz which went into so much more than just the playing itself. It's the knowledge behind it that sparks my interest even more. This season of Guitar Power has been so good so far.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any tricks you can offer me!
@Jesse Gianni Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Fusion guys like guitar wizard Wayne Krantz, Pat Metheny, Shawn Lane, Allan Holdsworth, Frank Gambale are the kings of that 'Unpredictable Licks, Phrases'... Those creative players are the masters of improvisation.
Z Brendil goes to show how far being comfortable with your instrument and how far your approach takes you. Playing his first guitar, a simple spartan machine, really making it sing
Nir is a great guitarist. Doesn't sound exactly like Sco which so many young guys do. Really unique sound and phrasing but still accessible. Big fan hete!
This is my interpretation of what he is saying. Music is a path built out of notes, silence, timing that allows the person's mind to travel on for the their experience. His method allows the parts of the person's mind that doesn't necessary have a voice to be able to participate at the subconscious level or intuitive creation of the path. He sounds like clearing the way for this process by not structuring it out with over learned structures. Will listen to more of his music and talks.
I'm guessing we will never see Ernie Ball player heres? no matter how good they are :p. Well for D'addario players, please have Robert Cray, Nile Rodgers, Mark Knopfler, Satriani, Robben Ford, and me. Thanks

his soloing on Bob Reynolds's Guitar Band changed my ears.

Well I’m saving this one in “Lessons”. I love Nir’s approach. Great to hear him expand on it.
I do that too, and sometimes even download the video, to prevent erasing from the uploader
Some of these episodes are more insightful than others. This one was excellent!

@Derrick Stefan You are welcome xD
A new discovery! Almost every few days now, I find new world class guitarists who only seem to exist on YT clips.

Really thoughtful interview! Nir and Dweezil sound like they're digging each other's playing in the jam at the beginning.
Holy crap! What he played over that one static major chord sounded incredible. Mind blown!
Nir is THE best tone in the business right now and as of late
