- What words do you use to talk about your body? Are you more negative than positive when it comes to acknowledging what you see in the mirror?
All of us have at least one thing about our bodies that we want to change. Try to focus less on what you want to change about yourself and instead highlight the good that you see.
It is my hope that you can learn to be kind to your body, because it has been kind to you.

Chrystal!!! Just this past week, I've been telling God how I need Him to help me 1. Have self-control over my body, 2. Be comfortable in my own skin, while also 3. Seeing the results of my efforts. I told Him that I was giving it all to Him.

I'm a man listening to this and it has blessed me. I have body consciousness from being really skinny for most of my life. I also have a teen daughter now, who I recognize I have to affirm daily about how beautiful she is.

40s has hit me hard on many changes but is all a mindset learning to be content and what I can eat that makes me feel healthy and young. We only have one body we have to take care of it 😊

I wanted to buy a strapless dress but I will be 71 in a few months and I was wondering if I was too old. I just happened to be listening to you as I was looking at the dress. You just made my day. I am ordering that dress. I do know how to be modest. I am not over weight but I am a pastor's wife. I will never do anything that will be disgraceful to myself and certainly not to him. So again I am ordering that dress! Thank You

Im here for it!!!! I will tyrn 52 in July. I fought weight all my life ("All my life I had to fight")!
When I was in my late 20's I lost weight (size 18/14) them was diagnosed with cancer, weight came back.
Lost it again. Got pregnant with twins.
Very late 40's I made up my mind for good. I did the work. I hiked Cedar Ridge Preserves, I went vegan, I was 7miles daily, and was started to run (something I didnt think i would ever do). I went from size 24 to size 16 and some 14's ( which was my goal weight.) . For two years I felt free.
Then covid invaded my space for almost a month. When it left I not only lost my smell and tasted, but I couldn't walk ten steps withou losing my breath and heart pumping hard.
Needless to say I gain ALL back.
At this point I'm like, "Child embrace you...get comfortable in your skin...work on good health, not fine body."
So, now as a size 24 black woman, Im learning how to love all of me while creating a temple that the Holy Spirit wont be quenched to a confined space with me
Oh how I needed every word you spoke. I've been trying to lose weight for almost 10 years. I've literally said I feel like a prisoner in my own body. I was literally talking to God before bed last night about my body and tonight I clicked on your video. If felt like a warm embrace from a big sister. Your words were encouraging and uplifting. Chrystal, your ministry is a blessing to the Kingdom of God! Thank you so much for this video...perfect timing! I was doing my strength training workout from home while watching the video this morning. We celebrated my son's birthday over the weekend and I allowed myself to really "celebrate" when it came to breaking bread. I almost felt guilty this morning but, I did not allow myself to fall into a guilt trip. I decided to make my protein shake, and get to my workout and I am determined to stick to my exercise schedule this week. Your insight has shed a new light on appreciating the body that God has given us and being good to it. Keep going Chrystal...you are making a great impact with your audience!

I just this morning said I’m not wearing nothing this summer that’s uncomfortable! Menopause season has given me a belly and HEAT!
This is what I needed!! I could use a support group! I was talking with my mom the other day and she kept saying "whe. You lose that weight you'll be able to get in those clothes you bought, etc etc". I then sqid" but until then I'll wear the clothes that look good on me until I lose the weight. I'm not waiting until I lose weight to look or feel good! I'll do it right now!"

Love it, thank you! I'm in the process of loving my body right now after having a child, entering into my 40's, dealing with hormonal issues and a difficult relationship. I'm grateful for what God has allowed my body to do and I'm working to keep her in good health ☺️❤️
I recently returned from vacay in St. Lucia. I felt soooooo good in my skin. I hadn’t hit my goal weight by the time I arrived but I had been doing the work to lose weight and I just felt good. Felt good because I was doing something to change. I wore that confidence all vacation long. That’s body positivity to me.
I can say so much about how this message was just for me; but all I want to say is THANK YOU that my spirit has caught a hold of this!❤❤❤
Watching this episode, it made me repent immediately and ask God to remove every negative word I've spoken over my body and allow others to do so as well😢.. Thank you Chrystal for reminding us that our bodies is wonderful tools God want to use. ❤

Praise our Lord Jesus for blessings us with this amazing beautiful body this Temple. I always had struggles with my weight. In few weeks I am trying 49 years I am accepting embarrassing and loving myself. Our Heavenly Father said we are perfect and I have to respect His words spoken over me. Crystal thank you I been following you since you came to City Life church in Tampa I think 2 or 3 years ago my cousin bless me to come see and hear you, your are amazing. Love and embrace women. 😊

I went on a journey and lost 180 pounds but in the last year I seem to be on a return trip and stress has been real and iI am 80 pounds back to where I started. I agree that the positivity of body image starts with realizing my body is a temple and I need it to do the things God has put me on this earth to do.

Listening to you talk about the school shopping brought back the memory when I was ages 9-13, we shopped at Sears, the chubby section. It was frustrating for my mom and me. I could see the frustration and on occasions she made comments because the dresses would be hiked up due to my hips. She did tell me as I got older that I was pretty. It was nice to hear that from her, but I so craved hearing that from my dad. I am 67 and so thankful for the way the Lord made me! I am responsible for my weight and has made some changes in what I eat ( have a sweet tooth), but reminding myself from the word that I am fearfully and wonderfully made blesses me so.
I agree that it is a good and kind thing to compliment my sisters and I do, but will be more intentional in doing so.
Thank you for being a conduit for the love our daddy shares on your podcasts. I appreciate and love you although we have never met.

Yup after having baby’s I’m stuck in the same weight long process trying to make changes in my diet cutting sugar due glucose intolerance. I’m learning the new me in the 40s meaning what I eat in my 30s I can’t anymore. I feel sick, sugar high, headache omg help me Lord haha
I had a different shape too, I remember shopping in the adult section or bigger size area quite young and I too had a bigger chest than others. Even after 40 I struggle. Amen to the fact that regardless of what they look like, these legs get us to church

So true, my body doesn’t work due to ms and menapause , being housebound bedbound etc, for ten years from size 10 uk until not size 18 , God loves me and I will enjoy this body and live right eat exercise etc but I am still alive and kicking,
